Regardless of your stance on marijuana this needs to be voted down because it takes the decisions on things out of the voters hands

Morning y'all!
With the election coming up, we clearly need to remind folks about the rules regarding both civility and misinformation. They're in the sidebar. Go read them.
I had to wade in on a post yesterday and tell people that, of all things, post-birth abortions aren't a real thing. I just can't believe people genuinely think they are.
Deliberately attacking people for their views, spreading false information, and trolling in particular will be much more likely to get you an immediate ban during election season than they might otherwise be. None of it is okay. Just don't do it.

Good morning again!
We have a wiki available, so I plan to use it to do some good. I'm going to start putting together a list of resources and information for residents and visitors. This will include government agencies, non-profits, recreational spots, and probably more things as I come across them.
The trouble is, even though I was born and raised here, there are still parts of the state I haven't personally experienced. This is why I'm asking for input. What's close to you (or worth a drive away from home) that you think should be included? What's something you had trouble finding the right agency to handle for you? Any suggestion goes, and most of them will probably end up on the list.
Couple of things. I will credit you by username for anything I include, unless you specifically ask me not to. And for comments containing a suggestion, please make sure they're top-level comments so I don't have to go digging in extended threads to find them.
Thanks for your help!

What’s up Idaho! I'm driving across the Mountain West in a van with a couple of friends shooting a documentary. We're on the hunt for interesting stories, local businesses, or characters along our route.
We just wrapped an incredible few days interviewing people around Wyoming, just entered Montana and are mapping out anywhere in Idaho.
Got a local rec or a story to share? Could even be yours. No limit on how weird, unique, or beautiful the subject is… we just want to capture what's really out there. Drop a tip in the comments/DMs. Thanks!

Earlier this year, the president of Students for Life tried to troll the owners of Wydaho Roasters by hosting a Students for Life meeting in their coffee shop to discuss how to oppose Prop 1. She knew the owners of Wydaho Roasters support Prop 1, and the owners directly told her on her Facebook post about the proposed meeting that the group could not hold the meeting there. She went ahead with the meeting anyways, so she could film the owners reaction for outrage content. This lead to the owners of Wydaho Roasters receiving death threats.
Anyways, she’s being sued now… for buying abortion pills in Texas.
She helped to lobby for a “bounty hunter” bill that allows Texans to sue someone for buying abortion pills, and then had the bright idea to try buying some herself as yet another stunt. A woman in Texas who was forced to carry an unwanted pregnancy is now suing her for violating the very law she lobbied for, to the tune of $459,782.
It’s so satisfying to see grifters like this reap what they sow. Here’s hoping this is just the first of many lawsuits for her.

I came across this article today. I don't have any strong opinions on this couple one way or another; I just thought I'd post the article here.
Edit: Please refrain from making homophobic comments directed toward this couple specifically or toward any gay or lesbian person in general. Thank you.

One of these, Chris Civilita (pictured), was hired as an advisor to Brad Little's gubernatorial campaign in February. This was also reported on by Clark Corbin of the Idaho Capital Sun. What sort of pro-Russian election tactics is Little bringing to bear in ID?

Ran across this sign and thought it was amusing.
But really, out of everything productive we could be deciding on on stuff that actually matters (like Prop 1 is actually doing something important) why is this on the ballot?

This petition advocates for the Bible being taught as part of American history curriculum in public schools in Idaho. It would advocate for educational reform that teaches the Bible’s impact on the formation of American government documents, founding documents and principles, and the judiciary system.
Please sign and share so Idaho’s children can be taught a comprehensive and complete history curriculum that supports their ability to understand their rights and where they come from.

Looking for a part time caregiving jobs where I can pickup shifts through out the week? I have a few years of experience. My current job is low on work so im not able to get shifts I need for my hours. Needing anything starting 4:00 pm or 4:30 pm as that's what I have childcare. Im also hoping to find somewhere that may help me get my cna? Im in nampa so nampa or nearby would be great. Id also like to work at a facility but open to offers. Thank you!

These anti-abortion groups are filled and/or led by these types of men*. Men who are abusive and controlling, and it's pretty easy to see how men go from being from abusive, controlling spouses to abusive, controlling politicians/lobbyists. When anti-woman, pro-rape, anti-abortion activists deny that it's all about controlling woman, call them on it with this information then vote Yes on proposition 1.
As a man, my opinion has zero place in the exam room of a doctor and his/her female patients. The extremist religious opinions of a few men in the legislature has no place in the family planning activities of a woman and her partner. If you're a voter in Idaho that is serious about protecting the rights of adults to make decisions regarding their health care, you need to vote Yes on proposition 1.

“I have spent years trying to understand how someone can dedicate his life to "saving babies" while ignoring one of his own. There is something deeply painful about watching your father fight for every cause other than you. It feels as though my dad’s pro-life values end ex utero.”

The rate of Californians moving to Idaho is high—averaging over 17,000 arrivals per year recently—and these migrants are predominantly conservative, which has helped push Idaho's politics further to the right. [1, 2]
Rate and Demographics of California Movers
Volume: Over 17,000 Californians move to Idaho each year (with more than 39,000 total arriving over multi-year tracking windows). Californians make up more than 20% of all new state-to-state arrivals in Idaho. [1, 2]
Voter Registration: Roughly 75% to 77% of Californians who register to vote in Idaho sign up as Republicans, while fewer than 10% register as Democrats. [1, 2]
Top Destination: Ada County (which includes Boise) has received the highest concentration of these California transplants. [1]
Political Trends in Idaho
Growing Conservatism: Far from turning Idaho "purple" or "blue," the influx of conservative migrants has reinforced and accelerated the state's rightward lean. [1, 2]
Legislative Supermajority: The Idaho State Senate features a heavy Republican supermajority (30 Republican seats to 5 Democratic seats). [1]
Shift to Far-Right Norms: Political analysts note that conservative newcomers have helped reshape traditional, small-government Republican politics in Idaho into a more pronounced far-right ideology, putting pressure on moderate Republicans and shifting policy stances on education, public libraries, and social issues. [1]
You can review state migration data portals such as the Idaho Capital Sun or local reporting via the Idaho Statesman for ongoing demographic breakdowns.

I’m wondering if there’s a resource that tracks local legislature members voting history (as in, votes they make that determine our local laws) in a way that is easy to find and read. There’s resources online like this for the US congress, not so much for local that I can find.
If possible I’d like it to track issues that candidates campaign with as well, but that isn’t a requirement I suppose.
