Well boys, I think the carrot is finally coming for my ass. ๐๐ฅ
Been shopping for about a year now, damn near 1,900 customer orders, and I knew my background check was eventually gonna catch up with me. Got some pending shit going through court right now.
Friday I got the Checkr email. Figured I had a few days before shit hit the fan.
NOPE. ๐ญ
Sunday morning:
9:26 AM โ Pre-adverse action notice.
12:23 PM โ ANOTHER ONE. ๐
2:51 PM โ Email saying my account has been suspended effective immediately.
Well fuck. Guess that's it, right?
Except I was literally in the middle of accepting a Costco batch when all this shit was going down.
Figured I'd finish it and see what happened. Hell, I even took my sweet ass time because I thought it was my last order. Took over two hours. Basically had a fucking retirement ceremony in Costco. ๐ซช๐
Finished the delivery expecting the suspension screen.
Nope. Eight batches waiting for me.
Well shit, guess we're still working. ๐
Snagged another $65 Costco triple. Card worked. Delivered it. Still active.
Took a $49 Food Lion double. Still active.
Took a $36 Publix double. Still active.
At this point I'm just laughing my ass off because apparently nobody told the batch algorithm I was fucking suspended. ๐
And somehow I ended up absolutely CRUSHING my previous records.
$389.28 Sunday.
$1,832.65 for the week.
11 hours and 1 minute active Sunday.
Three personal records on the same fucking day I got a suspension email. ๐ญ
Even cashed out $936 after midnight, and the app was STILL letting me go online.
Now here's where it gets weird. The suspension email specifically references Colorado's deactivation policy. I've shopped in Colorado before, but I'm currently in NC.
So idk if that has something to do with it, or if the carrot just hasn't gotten around to pulling the plug yet.
I'm not claiming I'm safe. Fully expecting to wake up one morning and get told to fuck off. ๐
But honestly, if this is it, I can't even be that mad.
I've spent the last year traveling all over the fucking United States doing Instacart. California, Yellowstone, the Redwoods, Grand Tetons, and a shitload of places in between.
Before that I was doing the same shit with DoorDash. It's been one giant fucking side quest after another.
Wouldn't trade those experiences for anything.
And somehow I might be going out with the biggest week I've ever had.
Anyway, figured I'd post this BEFORE the carrot actually finishes the job.
I'll update y'all when I wake up and find out whether I'm still employed by a fucking vegetable. ๐ซช๐๐ฅ
To be continued... hopefully.

Holy shit being a shopper feels like getting dicked around at times but the freedom is unmatched. This the most love hate relationship i have ever had.

If stores stayed opened later. Wouldโve kept going. Gotta take advantage of any good days they throw my way. But for now. Gonna crack a couple cold ones and back at it tomorrow

Yesterday was long but really good so todayโs kind of a fuck off day. Itโs early and Iโm already in their parking lot, part of me wants to take it just to see what the hell??

This was first ever instacart order. $21 at a local grocery store for about 8 items and a 5 minute drive to drop off. Two things were out of stock and the customer was very kind and patient. Dropped off the order and was handed $9 in half-dollar coins! This is in addition to the $10tip on the app. And the order too me a half-hour total. No too shabby!

So I tried out Instacart. My background is a fulfillment salaried manager at a Walmart.
I did a few days of running around, things were going okay, the pay isnโt good for what you have to do. I at least did enough to snag the minimum $130 promo.
However, I didnโt have my lanyard yet just got it today ironically but it was saying I should wear it in Hy-Vee. Iโm pretty sure they also send a thermal bag after a bit? Anyway I was given a trip that required delivering chilled items an hour away. If Iโm mistaken, driving a chilled item that far breaks cold chain food regulations. At least it does for Walmart delivery. I call the support line telling them I have to cancel this I donโt have a thermal bag, this is literally my second day. They didnโt seem to care and did not offer any sort of solution. I cancelled the order and get suspended for 24 hours. Then after they remove the suspension 24 hours later they deactivated me for fraud. I donโt know but I guess Iโd say good riddance.
I donโt understand how they keep drivers the way they do business. Join Spark or Uber Eats and Iโll see you at Walmart when I hand you your delivery ๐

Randomly once or twice a week lately Instacart will tell me I've been wrongly adding items to my order. The items aren't on my app list, or receipt. This type of pizza isn't even sold in my city.
Nothing ever comes of it, just a random annoyance.

This is the batch that keeps on giving, I feel very grateful for this batch and the customers especially after this HORRIBLE week that I had. Also, technically this is my first unicorn since it went over $100. Happy Sunday, thank you Lord. โบ๏ธ

New to IC started my day and drove to a college town an hour away, no work where I live which is rural AF. I get to town, start the app. first order says .9 miles $23. Iโm new and didnโt give it too much scrutiny so I accepted it. the store was an hour away. The home? a block from the store. i used all my gas driving to the city and to this second location. Now I have to wait 2 hours until I have gas money because of course they hold tips for that long. whole day ruined. just found out yesterday I lose my house in 16 days. fun.
Update: The day got a little better but losing about 5 hours to travel was awful. I did however get good news. A friend offered me a few days of work cleaning a hoarded home and heโll pay me enough to keep the lender at bay for two months. This will help. I appreciate all the comments and the kind words. thanks again.

I have had the Rewards card for about a month now and have noticed some things that are VERY suspicious and scammy.
The premise is that by having the card, you will get "free" and ""instant" cashouts after shopping. Supposedly skipping the $1.50 fee and getting your funds faster.
This card is Debit card, but sometimes shows as a Credit card... This stops the ability to withdrawal cash from certain ATM, or transfer cash from an outside App.
I can't add cash to my Paypal balance with Paypal for $0... The card blocks this and forces you to use the Rewards app and pay $3.99 for the transfer.
I can't withdraw cash at stores, the Card blocks this and forces you to find a Branch branded ATM.
Paypal, ATM, and in-store vendors, ALL read the card as a "Credit" card preventing anything involving cash.
This strongarms you into either paying $4 a transfer, or paying with the Rewards card which may or may not work depending on the vendor.
Instacart just finding ways to get more money from it's Shoppers.

Before anyone says anything I know it takes a long time because I need a hundred people to rate a five for the bad ones to clear out. I'm at a 4.96 , yesterday I was at a 4.97 after being 4.96 for a month. I have four four stars and two ratings that were removed. And no, I'm not careless with the orders, it just feels like maybe customers are being a little more harsh now. To me there is typically an understanding of trying to get what's available and deliver it on time checking dates and make sure nothing gets ruined and communicate, which I do, but again it definitely feels like people are being more harsh than normal. A couple months ago it would be like did I get my stuff? Is it in good condition? Is it on time? Did they communicate okay then five stars.

How many times I gotta tell this lady that HER ORIGINAL AND APPROVED SUBSTITUTIONS ARE SOLD OUT. Then she gone say some condescending ass remarks like โiโm not sure why we are still discussing thisโฆโ and โi just said i needed it why are you trying to refund it?โ BECAUSE YOU ARE SO HELL BENT ON GETTING ONE RIGHTEOUS HEAD OF LETTUCE INSTEAD OF TAKING THE BAG OF THREE. ITโS SOLD OUT. the substitution I suggested was lettuce, as needed, and organic, also as needed. the only difference was one to a bag vs three and $2 and some change. girl, bye. the bitch didnโt even tip well to begin with. it was nearby and i wanted to hit a promo.
i ended up cancelling the order. Customers can be so entitled and condescending. The world was built off the backs of people like us who do the grunt work and the stuff that you donโt want to or cannot do. Thatโs why itโs called the service industry. Yet we are the ones who end up getting treated poorly while the money makers continue to make it more and more difficult to make a decent hourly wage while wearing out our car.

You're in Krogers shopping for a single person and you go hit the found item button at the bottom, the app glitches for a split second and now all of a sudden you have 2 orders now and you didn't request the second order. I text support like "I accepted the second order by accident, take it off." Support tells me I would have to cancel the whole batch after I was almost done with the first order. I was trying to explain to support that I didn't purposely accept the second order. Is there a way to cut that crap off? I wish they would just let me work. Stop bothering me with bull crap.

Top one is a coffee shop, 38 gallons of milk total ($5 tip)
126 units (pretty much 5 of each canned vegetable in the store) to a food bank
Something about it being businesses giving us the middle finger is more annoying than maybe a struggling family or something. Fuck em

Never gonna take a quad order. Hopefully they disappear soon, thereโs almost always a non-tipper among them

I hate this new alcohol update where itโs making me scan the front and back of the id. Itโs glitchy and just made me wait 10 minutes because it wasnโt loading the signature option. Instacart is so stupid because they can do all these small ass updates but canโt fix it for their own shoppers. Dumbass app
r/InstacartShoppers • u/PrettyHatefulMachin • 14h ago
My quality has plummeted. I know what a good replacement is, but the app will always try to force a refund. Even if I add the appropriate item, the refund counts against me. Instacart needs to be held accountable for this. Iโm standing in the store, staring at the products, your AI bot has no clue.
r/InstacartShoppers • u/Lokalia4 • 1d ago
I looked at the order and it didnโt seem too crazy but these quads are a nightmare. The last quad i did was last year and i
