The guy caught the shark. He didn’t randomly find a shark on the beach, he put the shark in that situation. It’s his responsibility as a fisherman to safely release a non target species… we don’t need to call him Superman for that.
And what danger…? That’s a juveline blacktip, it’s a harmless shark. People acting like the dude swam up to a 4 meter long tiger shark in distress and saved it.
First of all, you don't know that the guy who removed the hook caught the fish, you're just echoing a bunch of other Redditors who were not there and don't know either. Secondly, he--not you--stuck his hands in a living shark's mouth and pulled a hook out of it. Until you have done that or the equivalent, you're a mere onlooker, and a mean spirited debunker nay-saying someone else's actual bravery to make yourself feel smarter than other people.
The automod keeps deleting my comment cos I try to post a link. Just search on Youtube this : "Was This Kid Right or Wrong? The Shark Video Everyone’s Talking About" which will tell you all you need to know.
I'm not saying he isn't brave or anything like that, I'm saying y'all are overblowing this to hell. Dude caught a shark and released it. Its what you're supposed to do. Yes its brave, yes its good of him to release to the best of his ability - but he got the shark into the situation in the first place.
In the interview, he is very clear about his intention to go catch more sharks. Make of that what you will, or just go on calling me a mean spirited debunker and nay sayer because you want to believe an out of context feel good video on the internet.
