MISC. England's team booked 15 different hotels, but Mexico fans still found out where they were staying and blasted loud noises, trying to keep them up all night before the game.

So because the players can sleep, that means they don’t need to be protected from crazy fans?

Come on, we both know the players not getting any sleep is not the primary reason they “stay hidden.” It’s for the safety of the players.

That’s not what I’m even trying to say. Anyway, my comment was just in relation to the above commenter about sleep

My point still stands, though. To both of you of in this thread.

The lack of sleep is irrelevant as to why they book and move hotels, and stay hidden.

And having players stay in 15 different hotels is not at all a viable or logistical solution for any teams to manage.

Cool, that’s already understood by me but thanks for the info anyway. I’m not into football though, so do other teams also book multiple hotels as a safety tactic but still sleep in one hotel?

Ah, yes, because the biggest mass shooting in my country, which just so happens to also be where I live, didn’t happen from a hotel with staff and security present at all.

You act like that would deter crazy fans from doing stupid shit. It should, but it clearly doesn’t.

Next.

No, not at all. Quite opposite, actually.

I think they do everything in their power to mitigate any risks that may arise.

I think you’re underestimating the power of unstable individuals.

Edit: also, I don’t know why you would assume that I don’t think that? I’m just saying that the reason they book 15 hotels is for the players safety, and not to help them sleep. Not sure where you got the idea that I don’t think sports team don’t do their jobs. I think they do them well.

Edit 2: and clearly having 15 ghost rooms booked didn’t deter fans from finding them anyway. So even when doing their jobs to the best of their abilities, people find a way.
