Ok - hear me out. Bubba just finished his famous Louisiana crawfish boil. Deliciously spicy mudbugs, Cajun sausage, potatoes and corn float flow through a river of boiling creole flavor right to your seat. The redneck equivalent of a conveyor sushi bar.
typically a lot of the cold served noodles are cooked and rinsed in water to remove excess starch. i suppose this is a bit of ceremonial way to do that? though i doubt removing starch is the reason in modern times since the running water seems pretty clear. those noodles seems to have been rinsed already.
So many questions— Is that water just recycled over and over again through the loop? Or is it being diverted from a natural untreated water source? Or like just constantly running a faucet to supple the water, which terminates in a drain?
Knowing Japanese food strictness I’d say they clean that everyday maybe even after ever customer finishes and water is probably from a running hose/faucet and definitely not reused
I worked at food related industry in Japan and it was very annoying but understandable that I have to wear full body suit and mask and literally the only skin that shows are from around my eyes, before you enter the work area you have to wash your hands for about 2 minutes and enter an air shower full body too..

What is the point to this?
