The NYPD tows a lot, too. I guess they also use these Barnacle things as a visual deterrent/warning to everyone else who might see them.

They don't tow cars owned by cops. Who are some of the biggest parking offenders.

I’m not here to argue, but that’s a false statement. You’ve seen parking placards and the like, and you assume that they get away with parking absolutely anywhere they want. I know many who’ve had their personal vehicles ticketed and towed. In Manhattan and elsewhere.

Yeah because there cops…? Cops are allowed to park where they want.

Hell even when I worried for a utility I could park wherever I wanted and not get ticketed.

Cops aren't allowed to just park where they want. And the "official business" placard isn't some magic "park anywhere you want" card"
