MISC. Michael Jackson was performing in Seoul in 1996 when a fan climbed up a crane to reach him. MJ held onto the fan securely to prevent him from falling, all while continuing his performance

Was wondering the same. That entitled main character fan was screaming but you couldn’t hear it through the mic.

That's not necessarily a tell, not sure how the exact microphone model works, but it may just not pick that up at all

Yeah microphones are cool. For example, when a sports broadcast has the long desk podium on the field pre and post game. The sound is great and you can’t hear anything in the background. Meanwhile, in the actual stadium, it’s ridiculously loud from the PA system blaring music.

Condensers and shotguns mics are amazing.

You’d never get 100% rejection at that distance regardless of the pattern . Also, look at the air currents blowing that cape. Know what doesn’t mix?

The same reason it didn't pick up any of the other extremely loud sounds playing during a concert.

Concert microphones are generally pretty weak, in order to only pick up right's next to them.
