Fun fact: most of what you consider to be obstacles can't actually stop you, you've just been psychologically conditioned to behave as though they can.
Yall are sleeping on light weight construction. My house is just as well insulated as any block house (because it's insulated properly) and I can actually fish wires through my walls, not on them.
Not trying to distract from anything.
I’m making a statement that lightweight construction is just fine. The main issues people claim against it are stability and insulation. But if you insulate it right and properly install weatherproofing you’ll be fine.
People act like it’s some big deal that you can use lighter weight materials and assemble them in a way that makes it stronger, as if we haven’t been doing that for centuries.
And, as an added bonus, I can easily fish wires through my house.
I’m pretty sure a lot of lightweight construction is used in California because it flexes, though there’s certain requirements to reinforce problem areas from my area. For example, we are required hurricane straps, even in as far north as NJ, because winds can get high enough that the weight of the roof is not enough.
But don’t quote me on light weight construction being used in earthquake zones.
lol and you’re gonna happily generalize America based on this clip?
Even if there’s proof European jails and etc do it different and better than this jail, how would that apply to the entirely of America bc of this goofy ass clip? As if majority of earth is better than America morality or anything thing wise. So how exactly is America a “developing” country bc of this clip or even your preconception racist or opinions on ppl like me across the Atlantic?
Meanwhile about a year ago I was super sick and fainted trying to go to the bathroom and left a giant head-shaped hole in my drywall where I hit on the way down
He said "dry walls" (misunderstanding the term being drywall, as it's not a feature of the wall being dry, but the type of material used) are NOT a standard. He's saying he has brick, not drywall.
The vast majority of standard, mass-produced mechanical locks like that are really just there to serve as psychological barriers. Even a beginner could pick your front door in a very short timeframe.
In aus the interview rooms are armored like cells with heavy doors, heavy walls, no way youre getting out, you COULD maybe try to overpower two officers, but those chances are pretty slim as is any two on one and the second you act up you know theyre calling for backup. Best bet is mayyyyybe getting to a gun, but impossible, when entering the cells/interview area, they disarm themselves and keep their weapons on lockers, so once u get out of the interview room, youre gonna have to go past what is 100% likely, a bunch more cops, and heavy locked/secured doors at the entrance/exit checkpoint.. long story short you are fucked and this is a basic ass cop shop in australia
Yeah but why even risk housing people suspected of serious crimes in a situation where they could commit more crimes, like youve still given him a 10% chance where there should be a 0.0000001% chance, what if some dumbass left his gun unsecured in the next room? This guy could kill someone else in the police station, its a little silly
Yup. One of my friends was a SEAL in Iraq and they took advantage of this. Opposition would set up to defend the doors, they just blow through the wall behind them to breach a building.
Oh, right. The opposition. The opposition to the Seals. The Seal's opposition. The opposition chosen especially for the Seals. The Seal's opposition. That opposition? https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Ir0GoJyg8NA/mqdefault.jpg
locks are basically just illusions of security in most cases, i mean people will have 3-4 locks on their front door with a giant glass floor to ceiling window 5 feet away. I worked a construction job and the boss forgot his keys at home 2-3 hours away so he just used a sawzall to cut a hole in the wall next to the door, like this guy demonstrated you can just punch a hole in the 1/2 inch drywall.
Similarily i realised this when working as a carpenter, alot of people spend a ton of money on very secure and thick doors for their houses, but they never think about the windows only having a tiny piece of wood/aluminium strip that can be removed easily, after which you can literally just lift the entire glass out of the frame without needing to break anything.
Or the roof that can often be literally lifted off by hand or by unscrewing a few screws, granting easy access to the entire attic.
The real obstacle here isn't the wall or door. It's the 50 cops between this room and the front door, alongside the maxed-out extra charges for attempting to escape and damaging property.
