Recommendations November 2026?

• Upvotes

Hey,

I am coming to London with my friend in November 2026 - are there any events on or activities that you’d recommend?

Could be sports, theatre, music, drinking, games, classes - just nothing that will break the bank.

Female only or mixed - we have no preference.

Thanks.

ldn recs: botox

Hi all,

I’m looking for Botox recommendations in London and would love some help from people who’ve found someone they trust.

What I’m after:

  • Mainly anti-ageing (forehead lines, crow’s feet, frown lines, that kind of thing)
  • Possibly some work on symmetry, depending on what the injector suggests
  • Someone who takes the time to assess your face properly and gives honest advice
  • Someone who is medically trained

What matters most to me:
I want an injector who’s thoughtful about placement and dosage and actually explains what they’re doing and why. Someone who’ll tell me if I don’t need something.

Budget:
This would be my first time having Botox in London, so I honestly don’t know what a fair price looks like here. I’m on an average salary, so I’m happy to pay for good work but need it to stay reasonable. If you could share roughly what you paid and whether they charge per area or per unit, that would really help me get a sense of what to expect.

If you’ve had a great experience (or a bad one I should avoid), I’d really appreciate hearing about it.

Thanks so much!

Best first day/week at work outfit

What is the best thing to wear on the first day or week at work?

I (28F) tried looking for nice blouses/shirts online but haven’t had much luck. But also have no idea what’s best to wear. I don’t like white blouses or shirts.

Any recommendations on what to wear? Ideally, any links or pictures would be great.

Anyone have a Blue and Yellow Jacket?

For Halloween I would like to dress up as Natalie or Misty when they just crashed the plane. These are characters from Yellowjacket’s the tv show where they wear a blue and yellow varsity/bomber jacket and all the options online don’t ship quick enough or are so expensive. So, I thought I might as well ask if anyone has a blue and yellow jacket I could pay/borrow for maybe one at the back of your closet that you’ve forgotten about?

I‘m looking for a size Large, and I’m in London so I’m down to travel around London if anyone wants to help me out please.

I attached a photo of what I’m looking for but anything similar is cool, thank you!

I checked Vinted and I only found kids ones so they’d be too small.

Mini Braids in London?

I’m looking for a hair stylist that does mini braids in London, ideally with human hair extensions at the ends. Does anyone know anyone? All I see is knotless braids! But I think something more lightweight would be better for my hair health. Thanks!

Advice Dating in London

29F here (dates M) - just wondering what people are using for dating in London? I’ve been away for over a year and my go-to Tinder is not the old reliable anymore. I know Tinder is supposed to be a hook-up app but it’s where I’ve found the most interesting people which have in the past developed into relationships.

Using it this time around guys have been incredibly flaky, truly just want to hook up, or have the personality of a wet sock (maybe this is typical of dating in London now?)

I want something long term (no kids), I’m a creative and aware of current events.

What apps are we using atm girlies?

Discussion Do your dating app matches convert to dates easily?

Is it just me or does it take a while for matches on dating apps to convert to actual in person dates?

I don't know if it's just me but I seem to match every now and then to what seems like a nice guy, with good chat but then it can be weeks of chatting before a date is arranged.

I know a lot of women will say that they give up after a few days of talking but it's so hard for me to find someone I'm keen on and enjoy chatting to that I don't want to lose the connection and just unmatch. I'm also 39F so it's getting harder

Keen to hear people's experiences and if they're lucky enough to get a dates quickly

Advice Fitness recommendations Clapham Common

Hi everyone! I’ve put on quite a bit of weight over the past few years and really want to make a change before it becomes a bigger problem.
The last few years have been difficult dealing with OCD and ADHD, and I know accountability is a big thing for me. I’m not a gym person, but I used to love boxing. Unfortunately, my old club changed and now feels a bit intimidating.
I’d love to hear from anyone who’s had a genuinely good experience with a personal trainer, boxing club or fitness group around Clapham Common. Somewhere welcoming that helps with motivation and consistency would be ideal.
I’d really appreciate any honest, first-hand recommendations. Thanks! 😊

Are there any kind, empathetic girls in the UK who are INFP, INFJ or ISFJ? Looking for genuine female friendships?

Hi everyone!
I’m 21f living in London, and I’m hoping to meet some like-minded female friends here in the UK.
I’m an INFJ myself, and I’d describe myself as gentle, sensitive, understanding and very empathetic. I tend to care deeply about other people’s feelings, and when someone I care about is going through a difficult time, I genuinely want to listen, understand and support them.
I’d especially love to meet girls who are INFP, INFJ or ISFJ, or simply anyone who is naturally kind, emotionally understanding and compassionate. Of course, MBTI isn’t everything! 💕
I’m not really looking for friendships that are only about going out, having fun or casual conversations. While I enjoy those things too, what I truly value is emotional connection, mutual understanding, loyalty and being there for each other during difficult times.
I believe a meaningful friendship is one where both people feel safe expressing their feelings, where misunderstandings can be discussed kindly, and where neither person feels judged for being vulnerable.
I’ve experienced some difficult friendships in the past, so I’d really love to build something healthier, warmer and more genuine.
I would love to find female friends who feel similarly, especially those who value empathy, emotional depth and long-term friendships.
Are there any girls in the UK who feel the same way? I’d love to get to know you!

Retaliatory ban & unauthorised sharing of CCTV footage after turning down a guard. Looking for (non-legal) advice

TL;DR: A door security guard at a local venue harassed me, negged me, and asked for my number, which I refused. In retaliation, he banned me from entry and admitted to saving, showing, and sharing CCTV footage of me from a night I was intoxicated to venue staff and other local security teams. I have reported this to venue management (currently waiting on the Operations Director), the SIA, and the police (who closed the case due to lack of physical proof, though I am challenging their investigation). Seeking strategic advice on next steps, GDPR/ICO complaints for CCTV misuse, and how to pressure management to take action.

I am facing an ongoing situation involving abuse of power and targeted retaliation by a door security guard at a local venue I regularly visit, and I am looking for strategic advice on how best to navigate this. To be entirely clear, I have committed no wrongdoing whatsoever; this whole situation stems from me repeatedly rejecting a security guard’s improper advances and calling out his unprofessional behavior, which he has now responded to with retaliatory action.

The misconduct started back in May when I had too much to drink on a night out. While I was in a vulnerable state, a male security officer on duty pulled me into an alcove off public view, where he made inappropriate remarks, negged me to lower my confidence, and adjusted his trousers around his genital area. Weeks later, when I returned, the same guard targeted me again by asking for my personal phone number, which I firmly refused to give him. Fast forward to September, when I attempted to enter the venue, this guard refused me entry at the door purely as a form of retaliation. During that interaction, he explicitly admitted that he had retained CCTV footage of me from that night in May, had shown it to the entire venue staff to justify banning me, and had even saved and shared that footage with staff at neighboring venues and security teams at other places where he works.

I have taken extensive formal action to address this clear misuse of CCTV and power. I immediately escalated the matter internally to the General Manager, and after contacting executive management, I was informed that my complaint is being passed directly to the Operations Director, whose response I am currently waiting to hear back from. Externally, I have filed a formal complaint with the Security Industry Authority (SIA) regarding his professional conduct, as well as reporting the unauthorized retention and sharing of footage to the Metropolitan Police.

The police recently closed their file citing a lack of independent, physical evidence showing the footage left the internal system, but I have already followed up with them challenging whether they adequately audited the venue’s CCTV access logs, retention policies, and data handling practices.

Given that the police are reluctant to act without explicit physical proof of data exfiltration and the venue’s internal review is still underway with the Operations Director, I would really appreciate strategic advice on my next steps. Has anyone successfully dealt with GDPR or ICO complaints regarding security staff holding onto and sharing CCTV footage for personal vendettas, and what is the best way to push the management to take immediate action against this rogue guard?

Any Third Space Canary Wharf/Wood Wharf members here? 27F open to meet new girls 🙌🏻

Hi!! I’ve recently rejoined Third Space Canary Wharf after about 9 months of being away - and was just wondering if there’s any lurkers here who also go there almost everyday!

I first joined in January 2025 and was pretty active in the Muay Thai classes and community there. In addition to the Muay Thai classes, I liked going in the mornings, somewhere in the range of 6am-8am, to incline walk/run, or swim at Wood Wharf, or partake in one of the yoga/hot yoga or running classes.

I also like going in the evenings to steam, sauna, yoga, Muay Thai, and more. Sometimes I even stay the whole day there and WFH at their lounge, and eat from their cafe.

But since I’ve been away and not actively exercising for a while, due to health and family reasons, my fitness level is definitely not what it used to be - I’m easing back into the gym now though, and getting back into that early morning routine.

I’m hoping to start trying out the Reformer Pilates classes and the more intensive hyrox/Yard classes, but I definitely wouldn’t mind more motivation in the form of a friend doing them with me too! It would also be nice to meet girls who are interested in the more chilled classes too like the yoga and sound bath meditation.

If you’re an active member at Third Space CW, please comment or DM me!! I also live in Woolwich, so a very short train ride away. If you live nearby, even better!

31F Looking for friends to play Tarot with🔮🙋🏻‍♀️

Hi ladies! Looking for friends to play Tarot with🔮🙋🏻‍♀️

Does anyone in this group have hobbies in Tarot like I do?

I have always been interested in esoterica and have been learning Tarot since about one year ago by reading books, doing online courses and practicing with/on my friends. However, I don’t have many Tarot friends based in London.

Let’s do coffee chat but with Tarot cards! 🃏

Any Gymbox goers?

Hey, I just signed up for Gymbox, couldn’t pass up on their offer. I am F35 and am into yoga, pilates, circuits, running, cycling, general fitness and health and would like to get into weightlifting.

I used to go some time ago and found it a bit of a fish out of water experience. Since then I’ve become a bit more fit and social and thought if anyone who has had a similar experience we could team up/ go together. I really fancy going to a social gym but they are hard to find in London.

I subscribe to the all Gymboxes membership and cycle so I don’t necessarily mind which to go to, although Old Street, Bank, Farringdon or Holborn would be more convenient.

Was thinking if there's a few of us interested and in the same area, we could have a groupchat so people can join when they're free!

Any wine lovers interested in going to wine tastings?

Hey! I’m 29 F and I’m wondering if there are any London ladies who would be interested in wine led meet ups.

My background and career is in wine, and I have a WSET level 2 but my course was through work so I didn’t get chance to make any school buddies. I don’t have many friends who like wine so I don’t find much opportunity to go to wine tastings and such.

I am by no means an expert and I dislike any snobby or elitist wine views btw

Would be great to find some like minded girlies who would be up for this kind of thing as I’d like to learn more and drink lots of nice bottles!

The dream would be to make a nice close group who we could eventually do themed wine nights and pairing dinners etc

Anyone interested?
