😻 Meme Or Other Online Trope πŸ˜‚ I absolutely adore multiversal crackships

...As well as the art to come out of it. In particular, Rodrick X Regina art has no right to go as hard as it does.

Doesn't Devil May Cry and Batonetta exist in the same universe? Or at least, that's what the original creator of both franchises says?

No, because that wouldn't make sense or both series lore. Because there are no angels in DMC, whereas Bayonetta has them.

I'm kind of surprised there are no angels in devil May cry.

There’s a lot of divine and angelic imagery in DMC4 but they all fall under the general umbrella of demons.

There's a bunch of almost angels in the series, where they're basically either Angelos, being a disguise of Vergil and the attempts to recreate it by others, Holy Knights, humans that undergo a ritual to become "angels", that are just more divine-looking Demons, and Demons that just flatout look angelic but are still demons nonetheless, like some of Mundus' appearances or some of DMC3's enemies, that are at the very least not Angels... anymore.

My personal Headcanon is that Bayonetta 1 takes place in the same universe. Or at least, an alternate timeline after Dante defeats Mundus.

The original creator of Devil May Cry who's had basically nothing to do with the Devil May Cry series since the release of Devil May Cry 1 in 2001, so no, not really.

Otherwise Dante would probably be dating the demon that looks exactly like his dead mother.

Dmc1 and it's accompanying novel happen in Bayonetta verse Bayonetta however does not happen vise versa in dmc 1 or it's following sequels
