Yep. Funny how the whole world is having a great time and celebrating while the usual Reddit scum feed off of outrage

u/xPotatoBeast Jul 06 '26

People here are so fucking miserable, everywhere i look they are always complaining about something.

u/Willy__McBilly Jul 06 '26

Reddit is a refuge for bullied kids, hence why it’s constant doomposting.

2

u/undreamedgore Jul 06 '26

Constant doom posting, alternative behaviors and so on.

-4

u/Winter-Ad2033 Jul 06 '26

People want America to lose because your corrupt government is intervening in the tournament and cheating

18

u/Wardo324 Jul 06 '26

Its not just here unfortunately. Its across the entire social media landscap.e Its all a cesspool.

3

u/Pale_Boss_8940 Jul 06 '26

My insta is literally all funny videos and car and sports stuff. Reddit forced all the outrage shit to the top

5

u/Boneraventura Jul 06 '26

My instagram is just food and dogs. Is the whole world just food and dogs? Internet is just a heterogenous pile of shit pal

0

u/xPotatoBeast Jul 06 '26

Not really.. maybe just my feed but I don't see this bullshit in other social medias

2

u/evilted Jul 06 '26

everywhere i look they are always complaining about something.

Pot - Kettle

j/k I totally agree. I feel like once the Facebook folks found about reddit, it went to shit real quick.

u/coalitionofilling Jul 06 '26

lol the worldcup sub is especially toxic today

1

u/Ryguy55 Jul 06 '26

I can't pinpoint exactly when every fandom subreddit I'm a part of went from jokes, memes, and interesting conversations to incessant bitching and general smarmy negativity, but I sure wish we could go back.

-1

u/ArnoldTheSchwartz Jul 06 '26

Stop complaining

29

u/Dynazty Jul 06 '26

Ya after like 15 yrs on Reddit, it never ceases to amaze me how different most of the world is compared to how it’s viewed on Reddit. America specifically

7

u/glacialanon Jul 06 '26

I wish i could quit

Yeah what really put me off was when the ooh america is doooooomed front page circlejerk continued on even on the 250th 4th of july. I was like cmon guys can we at least take a one day holiday break from the non-stop negativity? But nope there's no brakes on the reddit doom train not even for a once in a lifetime holiday

-8

u/LiamJamIsMyNeesons Jul 06 '26

Lol, you don't think people hate America outside of reddit?

16

u/Dynazty Jul 06 '26

Not at the scale in which they do on here and if you are in denial about that my friend you might be cooked.

-8

u/LiamJamIsMyNeesons Jul 06 '26

Nah, you guys are just in denial

10

u/Dynazty Jul 06 '26

Time for a look in the mirror there my friend. Cheers.

-6

u/LiamJamIsMyNeesons Jul 06 '26

64% of Canadians and 69% of Mexicans have an unfavourable view of the US. Your closest neighbours and allies hate you

5

u/Dynazty Jul 06 '26

Oh well then that totally settles it!!! 😂

Good. We don't give a shit.

9

u/Pale_Boss_8940 Jul 06 '26

I’ve quite literally never had a bad time outside of the US interacting with foreigners. Honestly usually have pretty great conversations

-1

u/LiamJamIsMyNeesons Jul 06 '26

Most people aren't belligerent like Americans and just laugh at you behind your back

7

u/Pale_Boss_8940 Jul 06 '26

Sure thing buddy

0

u/LiamJamIsMyNeesons Jul 06 '26

Do you think Americans are well respected around the world?

2

u/Pale_Boss_8940 Jul 06 '26

In my experience most people are pretty chill. I really don’t buy into all the culture war shit

-8

u/sirboobyconnoisseur Jul 06 '26

This is not a reddit thing. If you go on a random European football forum everyone is bitching about this too.

32

u/f3n2x Jul 06 '26

What are you talking about? This scandal is a leading news headline around the world and people, most of which have probably never been on, or even heard of reddit, are pissed.

27

u/absorbscroissants Jul 06 '26

I'm still enjoying the world cup, but blatant corruption in favor of the host country isn't exactly great

1

u/PictureVegetable9522 Jul 06 '26

fifa refs fuck up and fix their problem somehow = us corruption shut the fuck up

15

u/kaltulkas Jul 06 '26

Bro read the room. It’s a scandal all around the world and should have never happened. Referees fuck up all the time (though this time it was 100% deserved btw) yet never get overruled except when the host country is the US and you can’t see the issue.

2

u/GreenGemsOmally Jul 06 '26

yet never get overruled

Except for literally the same thing happening to allow Ronaldo to play.

5

u/kaltulkas Jul 06 '26

Not literally, Ronaldo served his 1 game automatic suspension and got a delay on the extra 2 games on account of it being before the World Cup. Which was already massive bullshit and a corrupt/ceiticized decision.

Balogun won’t serve his automatic 1 game suspension. For a card he got in the same tournament. This is 100% unheard of.

I am. And I am also angry at the US supporters considering this fucking shitshow normal.

0

u/ZugZugGo Jul 07 '26

Oh FFS it’s a game played on grass where men kick a ball into a net. If you’re angry at 250 million people most of whom know nothing about the game and are just happy to watch it on home soil then get a life. Be angry at FIFA for making the choice. But to be angry at fans most of whom are just trying to enjoy it is something else.

12

u/Impressive_Rub_8009 Jul 06 '26

fifa refs fuck up all the time. Shocking when the fucking award winner of fifas peace prize calls up is the 1 time they fix anything.

Shut the fuck up

-1

u/jimbojangles1987 Jul 06 '26

And yet its not gonna make me stop cheering my own country on. Fuck off with this. I am from the US, of course i want my team to win. If you don't, stop watching. Get a hobby. Jesus christ just be happy for the young players playing at the highest level for their country, not for their government, for their country.

3

u/Superb_Freedom_4507 Jul 06 '26

I was having a great time until the world's weakest narcissist forced himself on the proceedings. But that's the one thing he's good at, so we shouldn't be surprised.

1

u/zeltrabas Jul 07 '26

I mean corruption in the world cup at the highest level is a pretty fucking huge deal

It's not just reddit who is outraged. It's countries like Belgium, Germany the UEFA as well

Like it's more serious than you think that the president openly admits at a press conference he is corrupt
