$1m is 30 years of making $30k. If they started working at 23, they’d have made a milly by 53. What people are you talking about?

Not everyone gets 30k a year, even before taxes

I guess I was getting at how that’s by age 53, so if they work till 70 or something since they won’t have much of a retirement set up by then, they still have more time. But yeah, some people don’t make $30k and there are always extenuating circumstances

30 years of 30k and you’re not saving a dime of that with taxes and living expenses … also, non Americans?

We’re just talking about making a milly; not saving it. Yeah, some non-Americans won’t make close to a million, but based off of the guy in the picture, we’re most likely talking about someone in a developed western country

But you havent made a good comparison. We are talking about someone getting 1 million to do with what they want. Thats not the same thing as making a million. When you make a million spread out over 30 years, youre not getting to keep hardly any of that. A million dollar gift is life changing. It isnt the same as making a million.
