I wanna start by saying I've been a huge fan of page 7 for a long time, and by no means am I trying to put down or be negative about anyone on the podcast at all. I love this show and everyone involved. That said, does anyone feel like the energy has changed ever since they started doing video along with the audio streaming?

I've seen people mention Jackie talking over MJ too often, and I didn't really notice it much, but today's second helpings felt like a constant stream of Jackie, and it was actually starting to get a bit overwhelming. I don't mean it like she was annoying or rude, just that kind of energy when someone's talking to you where you need to be like, woah slow down!

I feel like she's been cranking up the energy ever since they started streaming video, or maybe it's just made the editing process different? Idk it could just be my imagination, but something feels different, like less of an actual conversation between the two of them than it used to be. I work from home and I pretty much listen to podcasts for 8 hours straight, so maybe I'm just over analyzing it or worn out. Anyways, I'll still always be a listener and love this show, just curious if anyone else was feeling the same way.

This made me laugh as Jackie’s insta name is Jackthatworm. She’s going to love every second of this press tour.

A new Star Wars game came out and there is a little alligator goblin guy that sounds like Holden speaking Huttese. Holy shit. Like it has the same tone and inflection and everything. Scrib doon indeed.

Here is an example

As a lifelong book nerd, I loved the discussion about the literacy crisis this week! I liked hearing about the Waters book Holden just finished- he got me interested in reading it myself. The discussion also led to me wondering what the lovely Page 7 community is currently reading! I just finished Bad Blood in preparation for You Can See Everything and highly recommend it. It was fascinating and I learned so much. What about y’all?

I am not on socials (unless you include reddit) & haven’t been for years. I don’t plan on going back for several reasons, but #1 is my mental health.

For that reason, I am very personally disappointed at the demise of Who’s the Bitch & the migration of Jackie’s Snackies to IG. I generally am not a YouTube person aside from hurrying home from work to enjoy a Bitchathon. I am someone who listens to podcasts to get through the work day & often to fall asleep (a heavy user?). I wish this content could also be available on the podcast feed.

I assume that changes to WtB & P7 are to maximize engagement/monetization? Why do you think these changes are being made - the reasons on a greater scale?

No shade to the people making the decisions. I’m just disappointed in the migration to socials v pure pods & was hoping I’m not completely alone in this.

Hail LPN.

Our lil guy Tim Cruise has been keeping up with the Kelce’s, doing PR for his quirky new movie film, and being a “nice guy” out and about, but what I wanna know is - WHERE IS HE FUCKING THESE FISH?!

The Page 7 lore of Tom “Fish Fucking” Cruise is canon, but I cant help but wonder why we have had no new blinds about Tom in a fish market bathroom gutting those gills.

Is he wise to the discourse of us, the listeners of this podcast, and trying to keep his aquatic endeavors more discreet?

(Obviously, yes)But what are your thoughts??

Is this a mistake or did I miss that this is happening now? 😭

I feel like Page 7 and more specifically Jackie has been getting some negative opinions lately. Everyone of course is entitled to their own opinions however I think the Jackie hate is a little harsh. She's quirky and loud and loves to sing. It's what makes me love her. I've seen Henry get similar feedback for interrupting or being obnoxious but they both make me giggle so much! I also think if any co-host had an issue with how conversations are handled/interruptions it would be addressed off air and changed. Jackie seems to care about the show alot and her cohosts.

Just cut off at an opportune time and play the ad.

For the first one about the signs, I'm 100% inline with Kara's take about purity testing, but *damn* do I relate with the caller's struggle. I think I'd be tempted to grab a sharpie every morning. Or want to quietly recreate the signs and replace them one by one and hope they don't notice.

I'm wondering if any other parents are still living in a Huntrix world like I am. My daughter is still obsessed. She had a "Golden" birthday party. She got a Huntrix backpack for school. She just picked out Rumi onesie pajamas and is going to be Rumi for Halloween. My son is still loving the songs. I'm still not sick of the songs and movie. Anyone else?

I’m so over her. I’m so sorry. I love her, but I’m over her. My final straw is silly but I wanted to crawl inside of my skin when she asserted herself into Jakeys Slakeys theme song not even knowing the words because whyyyyyyyy does she have to put herself in everything??

Give the people what they want! Release the Clay/MJ photo!

Shoutout to the Page 7 crew for this week’s banger of an episode. The Clay section made me laugh so hard and so frequently that my run slowed to a walk by necessity.

Take a shot every time Jackie says the snack would be good with an elote dip OR used as chicken breading.

P.S

How have they never talked about how Mj‘s minute munchie song sounds just like them singing!?! Anyone else?

Hey y’all! Curious to hear your thoughts about the new weekly episodes. I just finished listening to the first one and enjoyed it. So much of pop culture is dark now that I feel like regular Page 7 is pretty limited in what they can cover, so these seem like a smart move.

It's Friday I need the new page7 please

Boy George got poo craved too!

Jackie, let homie live. I’m losing my patience with it a bit. MJ can barely speak without being completely cutoff or being told the thing they enjoy is “wrong” or silly.

I care about the Field of Dreams. And I feel like we missed a ton of interesting commentary in the Liza series because Jackie couldn’t put her foot on the break.
