A 2 Million Dollar Bugatti Veyron parked in a mobile home park. This guy either has it all figured out, or nothing figured out at all. There’s no in between.

I'd be lying if I didn't admit that's probably the best replica (in terms of the exterior) I've ever seen.

Cheap ignition key gives it away.

u/OneSquirtBurt Jan 11 '19

I'm surprised they didn't update that, even just a simple push button start without a security component would have sold it. It seems like they did everything else in the car. Very impressive still.

u/thunderingthecow Jan 11 '19

It’s a kit car. As soon as they start you know it’s not the real thing. The sound gives them away more than anything.

63

u/xamsiem Jan 11 '19

To the average person who has never heard one they wouldn't even know.

Someone please sketch a concept Boofbuggy. I suddenly realized I must see one.

10

u/[deleted] Jan 11 '19

It's like...

Edit - I did this on mobile, please don't laugh at me.

u/Evangelynn Jan 11 '19

:D ty

2

u/[deleted] Jan 11 '19

You're welcome. You can contact my agent for information on where you can send the royalties to.

2

u/Im_kinda_that_guy Jan 12 '19

Boofbuggy? That's like a drinking game you play in the car right?

3

u/[deleted] Jan 11 '19

Any car is a Boofbuggy with Brett at the wheel.

1

u/misterguyyy Jan 11 '19

You can tell it's fake because the devil's triangle is missing from the rims.

2

u/threefingerbill Jan 11 '19

Boofbuggy is one of the greatest words I've ever come across

2

u/mysta316 Jan 11 '19

If they don't know enough to know the sound. Then they probably won't care what kind of car it is to begin with.

1

u/Cpt_Tripps Jan 11 '19

which is why you don't worry about the key giving it away.

1

u/VegemiteWolverine Jan 11 '19

I think they'd know

2

u/misterguyyy Jan 11 '19

Most people have only seen 2-3 sec clips of them on rap videos. Probably on their phones.

1

u/clemson104 Jan 11 '19

Well.If it is a kit.It probably still cost more than that trailer is worth...LOL

1

u/tweakingforjesus Jan 11 '19

Back in the day it was very common to put a kit on a VW Bug frame. It would look fine but as soon as it started you’d hear the distinctive flat four.

170

u/Shiveron Jan 11 '19

Not really. Not with this car at least. The Bugatti Veyron key is the exact same one they give you with a VW Jetta/Passat/GTI etc.

u/Putnum Jan 11 '19

I took my passat alltrack key for a swim in the ocean a year ago and then I learnt that the circuitry is pretty impenetrable! It's a good keyfob.

39

u/leapbitch Jan 11 '19

Meanwhile my ex threw my Dodge keys in a river and in the 3 seconds before I pulled them out the lock and unlock buttons switched places.

79

u/losangelesvideoguy Jan 11 '19

Y’all got pranked by a fish yo

2

u/leapbitch Jan 11 '19

He can have that girl but leave my car out of it

0

u/retka Jan 11 '19

Dodge

There's the problem

88

u/istandabove Jan 11 '19

Now if the cars were built as good as the key we’d get somewhere!

If it was a rental had you paid the required ~$500 for insurance? In Liberia at least the car rental place I visited was staffed by snakes.

5

u/inblacksuits Jan 11 '19

Apart from the expensive parts and overly complicated repair procedures, vw makes some pretty robust cars lol my brother had the Jetta Diesel and eventually sold it back to vw, but it was honestly the most fun and efficient car I've ever driven

1

u/istandabove Jan 11 '19

German Diesel cars & German Gas cara are Two different things, apart from dieselgate they make solid diesel cars. It just never kicked off right in the states

16

u/sighs__unzips Jan 11 '19

Yea, I once went swimming with the keyfob in my swim truck pocket. When I went back to the car I thought I'd have to call AAA but it still worked!

1

u/dat_fella Jan 11 '19

You know you can just start the car with the key... Right? (Or am I stupid and it's one of those push button starts)

2

u/ghostnuggets Jan 11 '19

on my jetta key, you have to push a button for the metal key part to pop out of the fob. if that wouldn't come out, it would be quite a pain.

1

u/TonyStark100 Jan 11 '19

That's why they cost $300. I had to replace one for my Jetta once.

-4

u/thinkdeep Jan 11 '19

How much illegal pollution did it put out during that time?

4

u/Putnum Jan 11 '19

About tree fiddy

0

u/Skytoucher Jan 11 '19

What are you talking about ? Veyron key is leather-wrapped to match the interior leather

10

u/xcerj61 Jan 11 '19

Yeah. It's a Golf key with a leather strip

0

u/olliegw Jan 11 '19

But would it actually work on a Golf?

2

u/xcerj61 Jan 11 '19

if it was cut and programmed for it, it would. With Golf mk.5 probably.

1

u/Shiveron Jan 11 '19

What kind of question is that? Are you challenged? A Lamborghini medallion could start a Toyota Hilux if it was programmed for it. Any key, can be cut and used to start anything.

0

u/olliegw Jan 11 '19

No, Bugatti keys are wrapped in Leather

1

u/Shiveron Jan 11 '19

Painting a turd gold doesn't make it less of a turd. Why do you idiots keep pointing this stupid fact out? It is literally the same fucking key. Google Veyron key next to Jetta key and tell me they're not the same fucking key. Get out of here with your pedantic "hurr Durr not the same because it's leather" shit. It is the same.

1

u/olliegw Jan 11 '19

I didn't realize this but Bugatti haters do exist, either people who don't like their handling or VW heritage.

It's the same key, yes, and i should imagine if you peeled the leather off it would be the same plastic and everything.

-1

u/Syrinx16 Jan 11 '19

Kinda surprising honestly, considering there are much better designed (IMO), and high tech key fobs out there.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 11 '19

You don't start your Bugatti with a screwdriver?

2

u/aSternreference Jan 11 '19

Cheap ignition key gives it away.

And the sound of the thing

2

u/Tidley_Wink Jan 11 '19

The whole fucking thing gives it away! Look at the interior of a real Veyron, looks absolutely nothing like this.

1

u/socialcommentary2000 Jan 11 '19

Yep. There's a whole bunch of fit and finish stuff that gives it away.

1

u/BizzyM Jan 11 '19

What? Bugattis don't use screwdrivers jammed in the steering columns?

0

u/tijuanatitti5 Jan 11 '19

Ignition remix tho?

2

u/[deleted] Jan 12 '19

I'm just impressed that there are four other "Tijuana Titties" out there... I can die a happy man now 😉. I wonder how many "DonkeyShowDonnies" there are?

1

u/tijuanatitti5 Jan 18 '19

O really? O still need to find them, it's gonna be my main quest!

2

u/wlee1987 Jan 11 '19

You never saw the yellow and black honda veyron did you

2

u/Shutout69 Jan 11 '19

You’re not lion, you’re a tiger. Username does not check out.

2

u/PartyByMyself Jan 11 '19

Some guy near me has a replica lambo. He got pissed that I took pictures of it while it was in public roads by chasing me in my car while he was on foot.

2

u/butt_toucher_95 Jan 11 '19

wtf even the interior looks 90% correct lmao

seriously that's an impressive attempt. Like where did he get those seats?

1

u/Rick-powerfu Jan 11 '19

If that's his work on the car.

Imagine what he can transform that trailer into

😂👌

14

u/krully37 Jan 11 '19

😂🤣😂😂👉👉👉😎😎😎

1

u/Sire777 Jan 11 '19

No massive wing in the back with active aero. As that is my favorite part of the Veyron I noticed it immediately.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 11 '19

Wait until you get close to it. It looks terrible from within ~12 feet. An older gentleman at a race track I worked at did this exact kit. Astonishingly, he was fooling gullible people all day.

1

u/Semaaaj Jan 11 '19

Check this one out.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 12 '19

That one is actually pretty impressive.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 11 '19

You can tell it's a replica because it's not wide enough or low enough.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 11 '19

NGL I saw it and thought it was a replica right away. I’ve seen better

0

u/BeerFuelledDude Jan 11 '19 edited Jan 11 '19

Not the website I first stumbled across a while back, but the prices are about the same. http://www.srfoosecars.com/

Edit: turns out that's a scam site so don't go there

5

u/chuby1tubby Jan 11 '19

PSA: the website is a scam and they don't actually sell cars. All the pictures are just pictures of the real cars taken from other websites.

6

u/BeerFuelledDude Jan 11 '19

Sons of bitc#*s - wasn't going to buy one but good to know
