We’re UNNATURAL ORDER, a UK modern metalcore band, and we’ve just released our new EP, OBSERVE//INFILTRATE.
FFO: Currents, Northlane, Bad Omens, Graphic Nature and Motionless in White.
Heavy, atmospheric metalcore with crushing riffs, aggressive vocals and cinematic elements, built around a dystopian world where humanity has lost control of the systems it created.
We’d genuinely love to hear what the metalcore community thinks.

Now I maybe being nostalgic, but looking at the year it felt like this year was great being an underground metal fan, primarily the year I got really into music and my iPod was poppin' off.

I saw the post in the melvins sub about 20 years since (a) senile animal. Check out other albums I remember listening to, some more than others. I was getting into proggy sludge too so I'm including them as I believe they toured together and shared fans:

My personal favourites:

Mastodon - Blood Mountain

Neurosis - Given to the Rising

Battle of Mice - A Day of Nights

Cult of Luna - Somewhere Along The Highway

Isis - In The Absence Of Truth

Russian Circles - Enter

Intronaut - Void

Mouth of the Architect - The Ties That Bind

Year of No Light - Nord

Jesu - Silver

Kylesa - TWFIW

Mogwai - Mr Beast

TWDY - Young Mountain

Kayo Dot - DAWCT

Mars Volta - Amputeture (bonus prog album)

There's probably more adjacent genres that had great releases too, indie, noise rock, folk, ambient etc too

Our new album "Canary" is out now! 🐦🌌🪐

Hope you like it! :)

[FFO: The Ocean, Opeth, Dvne, Heretoir]

Have fun!

Garden From Our Bones, the debut album for my one-man post-metal project Earth Tent, is now available for listening wherever you stream your music. It's also on Bandcamp, if anyone feels inclined to purchase. (No pressure, of course.)

This one's for fans of Russian Circles, Pelican, Caspian, God Is an Astronaut, and (maybe) Night Verses.

Give it a listen! I hope you enjoy it. Lots more on the way.

This latest single from Rosetta is one of the best songs that they have ever written. I'm so sad this will be their final album but I hope they go out with a bang. So far, its shaping up to be an incredible release

Five stories about what remains inside us long after the people, events, and changes are gone — a reflection on memory, estrangement, inner conflict, and trying to move forward. Bridging alternative metal, post-hardcore, and metalcore, atmospheric melodies crash into heavy guitars, screamo vocals, and emotional climaxes. Thanks <3

Really excited for the new album now!

Love this album. Pretty sure it's the only thing they ever put out

If you give this a listen let me know what you think and what it reminds you of. Thanks so much

I listened to a lot of Blood Incantation and Isis as we were writing these songs. Hope you like it.

For some time now, I’ve been creating a series of Spotify playlists categorized by metal subgenre(s) purely for my own enjoyment. So far, I’ve made 10 of them.

That being said, I thought someone here might find them interesting or useful.

To play it safe and avoid breaking any subreddit rules, I’m only going to post the one for Sludge & Post-Metal

There are over 184 hours of music, and I usually add new content on a regular basis

I have been having a huge sort out and found out this little guy! I completely forgot I had him, have had a search online but cant find out too much about it, other than there being 1000 made. Unfortunately I dont have the box but wondered if anyone knew where would be best to sell this to someone who would appreciate it more? Have stuck it on ebay but doubt its something people are on alerts for!

Thanks!

Sorry for the mouthful in the title there!! I just wanted to grab potential listeners with a thorough description.

I finally got around to releasing this album in full last Friday.

Please listen if you like slowcore, post-rock/metal, and ambient stuff.

Heavily influenced by artists/bands such as Codeine, Low, Mouth of the Architect, Neurosis, Mogwai, Brian Eno, Jasper TX, etc.

It's on all of the streaming sites now, but here's the Bandcamp link if that's more your bag:
