That's cool, so do you guys plan for only can 2 people being able to play with eachother or are you guys planning there be multiple people able to play with eachother?

I was just wondering if entire servers of people were possible, for like faction Warfare, but the more I think about it - I don't think that's entirely possible.

It runs over steam and steams limit it's around like 250 but we haven't tested anything near to that I have had 8 people at the same time so far

If you think this mod will work in a month at most for everyone reliably, you gotta take another look at AI. AI will create another Stalker 2 at that time given the credits. People vibe code bunch of mods, apps that work for everyone reliably while guys like you wait for a guy to make a CO-OP mod work for a year

I never said it was going to release in a month. I'm not a brain rotted person from this generation that wants things made in a few months. I have patience and I know about hard work, things that are unknown for AI chuds like you. I'd prefer to wait an year to have a stable mod with no bugs than a vibe coded mess that will bug other things in the game or worse, have a messy code that might fuck up the pc and not just the game

You think we are still in 2021 where Chatgpt was still not popular? If you still think that AI can`t make better and more stable mods than a bunch of random guys you`re one of the reasons and people that AI will take jobs from. AI is way too advanced now and still keeps advancing. Nobody will wait a few months or even a year for a moderate buggy CO-OP mod that the author will have to hotfix a couple of times just to get it working.
In a year you could have an accident and die or die for other reasons. Who the f*ck would wait a year for a CO-OP mod made by randoms that will %100 be buggy especially with the f*cked up UE5 engine and messy ahh Stalker 2 game that keeps being messier with every patch.
Keep denying AI buddy. We`ll both be jobless bums begging on the street when AI takes over everyone`s jobs. Instead of denying you can use it for efficieny but keep denying.

I'm making a follower mod for stalker 2 and I'm in contact with these guys and my mod is 100% made by AI, I am a web developer so know my way through tools and quirks but don't have the space for the zone kit nor the time to learn how to use it. In the span of three days I have a mod that allows me to recruit any npc and give him orders, he also mimics my weapon (drawn or hidden) and movement stance (standing or crouched). I will try to add inventory and equipment management next. We'll share code and ideas so that we'll help each other's mod grow.

Yes, AI should be used for these things. I don`t care if they use it for art or anything as art made by humans will always be preferred and used but using AI to make apps, mods or anything will always be faster than someone combing through the buggy ahh UE5 and Stalker 2 for a year for something AI can do in 3-4 days

Just makes me pissed off at GSC.
All of you know that GSC would NEVER make an attempt at Coop, which is something a lot of new people to Stalker have always asked for. As a stalker vet since at least 2005, I have always known that Coop for Stalker 2 officially would never happen. It's pure fantasy to imagine such a thing.
Like vehicles in New Vegas, or Stalker Gamma Coop, or 3D first person in Project Zomboid, theres been a massive surge in modders proving developers wrong. Not only is the impossible actually possible, it seems to be quite easy. It's being done by people who aren't in a multi-million game development studio with a +200 person team.
GSC, keep your multiplayer promises to yourself. Keep your "pre-order multiplayer skins". Just focus on making the actual game as great as it can be. The community will handle the multiplayer/coop side itself.

Yevhen never said that co-op was impossible on a technical level. It's just not what Stalker's design philosophy is about. But for some reason some of you don't respect the integrity of the game and GSC's idea of what Stalker is supposed to be.
GSC, keep your multiplayer promises to yourself. Keep your "pre-order multiplayer skins". Just focus on making the actual game as great as it can be. The community will handle the multiplayer/coop side itself.
There is literally no need for ignorant statements like these, it achieves nothing. You're getting your wish (which is co-op), leave it at that and be happy with it. That's what the modding scene has always been about, scratching people's specific itches they have without changing the original game's formula. Stop telling GSC what they're supposed to do, just becuse the multiplayer won't be the way you envision it doesn't mean they should just stop and "keep it to themselves".

Co-op is a fun little side thing but honestly it is antithetical from a design point as to how STALKER should be and the Zone's atmosphere. It turns it into something a lot more whimsical and "funny" in a sense rather than the isolated desolate wasteland it's supposed to be. It makes sense why GSC do not care to spend time on adding all the backend stuff required for it to work.
By that I don't mean that STALKERs should always be alone because clearly that isn't the case in the games with squads but a squad of AI controller STALKERs is different.
Not only is the impossible actually possible, it seems to be quite easy
Nobody is saying that is it literally impossible to add to the game through the engine, that is never the case. The issue is how long it would take, how much money it would cost, and again, how it impacts or conflicts the design of the game as it is.
Also the massive boom in these mods is due to Claude's new Opus 5.5 model more or less and with that will other issues.

Gamma is coop, look up xrrazom coop mod, theres also anamoly together but I have had much more luck with xrrazom then combine that with the romeo mod pack and its like a whole new game.

Very exciting! Looking forward to seeing more progress, Stalker is something I've always wanted to be able to share with a friend in co-op. This will be great for once we get mods to decouple the game from its story in the style of Anomaly/GAMMA.
