DISCUSSION Solo patrol shop options
As far as what’s in game rn I find patrols to be the most engaging for myself, I have a Percy which is so ideal when I have some people with me, but I’d love a solid option when I’m solo. What I’m looking for mostly is survivability with enough alpha damage to damage the medium to large ships that come in these. Where I struggle is just getting swarmed and having trouble staying alive long enough to get through. I’d love any and all suggestions here, I’m aware that it’s also a skill issue here but still I’d like to be able to do these by myself occasionally, so what is everyone using?

DISCUSSION Is the Origin 890 Jump's extensive customization still planned ?
Back when the Origin 890 Jump was first presented, CIG described it as a highly customizable ship. The original concept suggested that owners would be able to customize various aspects of the ship, potentially including components, weapons, thrusters, and other systems.
However, years have passed, and I haven't found any recent confirmation regarding the extent of this customization or whether those original plans are still in development.
Does anyone know if CIG has officially confirmed whether the 890 Jump will eventually receive its originally advertised customization options?
I'm particularly interested in whether we can expect more than component swapping, such as meaningful changes to its weapons, internal systems, or even its interior layout.
Has this feature been abandoned, postponed until later development, or is it still part of CIG's plans?
I'd appreciate any official statements or reliable information from people who have followed the ship's development over the years.

DISCUSSION Any news on the social front?
Two years ago, we were told that social issues were a priority. We know that the teams have been working on this since the beginning of the year, but we haven’t heard anything since. Does anyone have any information?

SOCIAL Ship meet up, tomorrow morning PST.
Star Citizen is slow at the moment, and if your crew are anything like mine, they’re burnt out. We’ve decided, to give ourselves something to do, to open our weekly ship show to the public, tomorrow morning. Sunday, 9am PST, at Babbage.
Discord links aren’t permitted here, but add me @RainOfLegend on dc for an invite to party, comms, etc.
No obligation to join anything. No drama. Just bring your favourite ship and show it off.
EDIT: that’s a LOT of discord messages whoa. I’ll reply as fast as I can with server invites. Out touching grass rn.

DISCUSSION Normalize Top Hull Access on Large Ships
Can we please start getting at least access ladders that go to the top ship hull on bigger ships? I've had a couple of bigger ships now like the Asgard and now the Connie MKV and getting on top of the ship while planet side is always a pain.
Like what if the top of my ship had damage I wanted to repair and I was on a planet? I'd have to fly to space to get zero g or go to hangar and pay for it. Adding a ladder with hatch access to the top would be really nice for larger ships that don't have a convenient way to climb up there.

QUESTION I want to make my raven ex a distortion fighter
are distortion cannons more effective than repeaters for shutting down and keeping ships shutdown?
Do you think having 2 distortion weopons and 2 other are needed or you think itll be realistic to have all 4 distortion?
Also can distortion drop shields and shoot open hangar doors amd other entrances?
Im completely new to distortion gameplay :)

QUESTION This is weirdly fun... now for blueprints?
Started playing around with the fabricator and I find it quite fun actually. My OCD has me placing boxes in alphabetical order. Now I just need blueprints... what is the easiest way to get a wide range of blueprints?

DISCUSSION How to play solo without feeling completely isolated?
I've had the game since ~2015 and play on and off. I love what SC does technically, but every time I come back and grind standard loops like solo mining, bounties or hauling, I get bored fast because of how isolated it feels. After an hour alone grinding a loop it might as well be a single player game.
I don't want to do multi crew or deal with scheduling/coordinating with an Org. I just want something I can jump into solo where I'm still organically crossing paths or interacting with other players.
What solo loops, missions, or hotspots are you guys playing right now to keep the 'Verse from feeling empty?

DISCUSSION How much more difficult is it to grab the kraken compared to the Idris?
In context I’m planning to grab the kraken during IAE. The warbond one. Store credit one has its risks as. Eg you gotta be 0.01 mil a second faster then everyone else. I managed to pull the Idris on the last wave last time it went on sale out of straight luck. Is it the same difficulty as the Idris was or different . As main reason why people go for the Idris in the first place is size 10 capital pilot gun go brr and funny 15mil hull hp.

SOCIAL My first week in the verse and my first haul.
After skipping the tutorial (bcs who needs one in 2026) i found myself confused and lost in area18. Starter guides said to first buy gear and supplies. So after an hour finding my way in area18 i found the shop to buy the gear and supplies. After being lost i found my way to the hangar again to start my journey.
I started a hauling contract to then find out i cant pick up the boxes by hand and i need a tool to pick them up. Back to shops again. Bought the tool and searched for my way back. Finally at the hangar i found out i can only fit 2 boxes in the ship.. No problem. I put in a request to leave to then get hit with a queue to leave.. 300sec wait time. So after about 3 hours i was finally able to leave area18. Set course to baijini point. I arrived but was to confident in my flying ability with my hotas so i crashed the ship before i could even request a landing pad.. woke up back in area18 to be lost again. Turned off the game.
Next day gave it another shot and finally delivered my first haul!
Overall the game has me coming back even tho i crashed my ship several times after a few hours of hauling around. I like how the game looks, the ships and i like the gameplay altho sometimes i feel like im in a scene of starship troopers with all the bugs i have encountered. Im excited for what comes next and maybe ill try to find some people to play with so ill get a better understanding what the game has to offer.
See you in the verse!

FLUFF Starlifter is capable of lifting stars
Was fooling around with a friend and managed to store a piece of quantanium inside Hercules, ship it to station and pull out. Unfortinutaly it was too big to fit in a freight elevator, but it can be stored inside a ship. If you store and pull ship back up it will have the minable asteroind inside of it.

DISCUSSION What Ship Are You Wanting Added To The Game?
With the addition of new concept ships coming to life finally. What ship do you want added now?
And if you really want to. As a second question what ship would you like the vehicle team to work on that you feel the game or even just you need for your gameplay.
