They really can’t though and it’s a hard scientific fact. The world is infinitely more complex than you probably realize and sure the easy run of the mill problems with heavily documented solutions are easy for AI, novel problems are well out of its reach. All of these professions had search engines to find the out of the box solutions for a couple decades already so I’m not sure what you’re hinting at.

Honestly the Anthropic IPO will be the beginning of the end of AI valuations and all those data center build outs will come to a grinding halt as the financial orobouros propping it all up implodes

The thing is, the vast majority of businesses are fine just copying what the leader in their field is doing. AI lets them do that more easily.

Yes but the point is that eventually there will be no leader in the field to follow because no one will know how to create anything because we will rely on AI for everything. And that's when AI will stall when humans don't create anything new for it to train on.

That would be the gamble being made. Yes. Similar to people claiming Communism removes any incentive for innovation... it depends.

This will last a couple years until it’s all homogenized slop…business leaders have been laying off accordingly but the reckoning is coming.

How have you evaluated it as a "scientific fact"?

Im interested in anyone who claims to have some insight into llms potential, but usually the arguements are not very rigorous.

Do you think you have some evidence that can withstand scrutiny?

There are a number of papers documenting this as a dead end. It’s an advanced auto complete.

Will you provide the one which you find most well done?

But a simply google search could have found that for you buddy. Don’t be too lazy to learn!

I agree that the Anthropic IPO will likely end the AI supercycle and will be the last chance for those at the top to unload their bags, but I don't see the technology going anywhere. There's no putting the genie back in the bottle at this point and that terrifies me. We're heading down the path of a feudal tech dystopia

The tech is here to stay.

We’re already in a crony capitalist dystopia 🤷🏼‍♂️

You do realize that 99.99% of the work your average doctor, lawyer or engineer is doing is not novel right?

My brother in Christ, AI has recently solved Navier Stokes, and it's well on its way to automating ML research. I don't know how much more evidence you need? The other fields are simply a matter of time - enough data and enough RL post training and they're cooked.
