circa christmas time 2022. i was headed home after midnight post-holiday party. felt nostalgic and eerie, but not in a disconcerting way. just calm and crisp. felt i needed to freeze the moment in time and i just came across it again, thought it might fit here.

A moonlit stroll in the San Juan Islands.

It was pitch dark and silent as I walked from South Station down to the Cathedral of the Holy Cross to take mass. I stood atop Washington Street and watched the sunlight wash over Back Bay, and night ended just as I crossed over the I-90.

We missed our original train by a matter of seconds, in which we had booked AC Sleeper tickets.

So we had to board another train, but had to travel on a non-AC sleeper coach.

Stayed up all night just to watch trains and passing stations at high speeds.

We had to change trains again at another station, but we did reach home just 2 hours later than the first train that we missed. So all is good. :)

I only have my phone camera on these rides. A DSLR would get in the way.
