3years of duolingo, and now probably ard n4 level? Nvr took jlpt but im in unit 40+. Start with memorizing hiragana and some basic words. Forget about grinding the grammar cze it learned properly just a few weeks ago and its way better. Katakana also, not need to memorise them too much, my japanese friends dont even memorise them much. Use the language more often, be a curious cat.

Also try study outside of Duolingo cze it can sometimes messes u up. Try studying using AI. Works for me 👍👍

Ya, kanji is harder cze of the chinese words. So unless u know chinese, its way harder
