Is a Plaud worth it for radiology residency?
 in  r/PlaudNoteUsers •  17d ago

Pasting the obvious here but its important to understand the differences. I use Plaud Note and it has given me the gift of time. More time to be able to focus without fixating on my note taking challenges.

Key Differences Between Granola and Plaud

  • Form Factor & Capture Method:
    • Granola: Pure software (desktop/mobile app) that runs on your laptop or phone and captures system audio from virtual meetings (Zoom, Google Meet).
    • Plaud: Centered around physical hardware (like the Plaud Note or Note Pro), which is a card-thin physical recorder that clips to your phone or sits on a table to record in-person rooms, phone calls, and offline conversations.
  • Handling of Audio Files:
    • Granola: Focuses on the transcript and summary output, deleting or not retaining the raw audio long-term, meaning you cannot play back the source audio to verify a mistake.
    • Plaud: Retains the original audio recording so you can always replay and check the exact source conversation.
  • Use Cases:
    • Granola: Best for remote workers and professionals whose days run on back-to-back laptop video calls.
    • Plaud: Best for a mix of in-person meetings, interviews, site visits, or physical phone calls away from a computer.

My parents purchased these 2 paintings somewhere in So Cal in the late 60's or early 70's. They were always present in our living room but my parents never mentioned where or who they got them from. Folks, both, passed away and they still had these. I still don't know the history of these 2 pieces. Anyone?

Dry January Changed my Life
 in  r/DryJanuary •  Jan 12 '26

DJ has changed my life too. After the first week, I started to feel less bloated and more clear headed when waking up. My son then challenged me to continue after January because more often than not I have a drink. That sucked because I can't wait until February. What sucked more was that my drinking is a part of his memory of me. My dry January was in 2022 and I haven't looked back. My life has changed because my relationship with my son changed and that's the best reason for me to not stop.

Let’s get moving! 100k Step Challenge (Samsung Health Together)
 in  r/walking •  Jan 12 '26

I started the same challenge for January with my wife. For some unknown reason it terminated the challenge after 11 days and said no one won (I was at 91,000). There was no indication and can't be due to inactivity because we were well on our way to completing

New Plaud being unveiled next week?
 in  r/PLAUDAI •  Aug 28 '25

it does. it's thinner than the original Note but you get the same items in the box that came in the previous version. My Note works great so I will pass on the upgrade. I use mine at board meetings and have also at several training seminars. I never had any issues and it worked flawlessly. I would be more inclined to upgrade if the unit was able to record or link to a headset for meetings. That would be the game changer.

I can't find any details that describe the new version and how it differs from the current Plaud Note. Does anyone know what the differences may be?????

Help with transcription
 in  r/PLAUDAI •  Aug 19 '25

I, often, will re-summarize if it doesn't suit my particular needs. Each meeting will have different requirements and this is helpful. As a matter of fact, I have copied a summaries to a doc or pdf and then experimented with various other options until I find the best one. This is so useful.

Aventon Aventure vs Level
 in  r/ebikes •  Feb 25 '22

Kayser, what did you end up getting? I know your post was several months ago but I am curious. I purchased the Level and loved it either entire time I had it (3 weeks). I traded it in for the Aventure, however, after a test ride. I'm not sorry I did but went for the fat tires because of the dirt paths I like to ride. Both are class 3 bikes (Rad is a class 2 and was preferable to my wife so we are able to compare). Our son thought I was crazy to give up the Level so we are getting one for him.

I don't fault anyone for wanting whatever is best for themselves and/or their family. I simply wish that, in light of what is going on with the world, the virus and the travel industry, that Carnival would offer an FCC to the folks that are interested in that, and a full refund to the folks that are not...

Waiting any longer than is absolutely necessary to make that call, puts an undue strain on those of us who need our money back, during this time when we are unable to work. My spouse is in an 'essential industry' so hasn't been sent home yet, but I have. Any refunds that are offered will likely take a very long time to receive. Although understandable under the circumstances, I just wish they would get things started. That is all.

Mint sim card locked my factory unlocked phone to T Mobile
 in  r/mintmobile •  Feb 15 '20

Same happened to me, I have AT&T S9+ purchased at Best Buy 2 years ago. Unlocked last month and then switched to Mint Mobile for less than 7 day promotion time and it flashed to T-Mobile immediately after SIM card was placed into device. The two bloatware apps are from T-Mobile but cannot be used (Device unlock & TMobile account app). Switched to another carrier after 1 day due to reception issues in my remote area but phone will not completely transfer over. TMobile flash screen will not go away, nor will the apps. Plus...I cannot utilize my phone as a hotspot nor WiFi calling any longer. I have taken to T-Mobile and they say is impossible that ATT phone can be flashed after it was unlocked but I have hone and proof showing that phone shows TMB/XAA/ATT and it cannot be removed. T Mobile has embedded and changed the DNA of my Galaxy S9+ via Mint Mobile and they are not accepting responsibility. They are very polite each time I have called but keep saying it is not possible. UGH!!!! I just want my phone to be normal again!! I paid good money for it. THEY ARE STONEWALLING ME AND NOT HELPING AT ALL!! THANKS RYAN REYNOLDS!!

T-Mobile and Device Unlock App installed after switching to Mint
 in  r/mintmobile •  Feb 13 '20

I purchased my S9+ from Best Buy for AT&T. I switched Mint Mobile but was unable to get a good signal at my home so after 24 hours, switched to Cricket. Thing is, when I installed the Mint Mobile SIM card I immediately had the T-Mobile flash screen and three separate apps relating to TMobile (keep in mind I was with AT&T and never with TMobile). After the switch to Cricket, the logo and apps are still on my phone and no one knows how to get rid of them. Cricket says it's because it's a TMobile phone (again....it never was) and TMobile and Mint Mobile say it's impossible because they never locked BYOD phones. UGH...... Anyone have any ideas?
