We cannot let them get to the free throw line as much as they did. Gray is a little bit of a flopper every time she drives she looking for a call and falls. Gabby gave us everything she had Im proud. Kaila Charles was the mvp to me her defense but also her rebounding so huge. We did a much better job on Angel is the second half then in the first. I also think we did better at slowing down the fast breaks in the second half. VB played good defense but if she could just give more offense it would make a world of difference. I hope tip Hayes is ok and plays better next game we need one player to go off other than gabby that’s what made everything go hard. It might not be a KT series but she should be getting a few more mins at least when naz is in. A win is a win. But man if every game is going to be like this I don’t if I can handle it. 😂

Cece was so bad today. Looked absolutely lost and the lights too bright. Missing two fts and a open corner three in rhythm? Defense left alot to be desired too.

She really was. An airball 3 on wide open, about the blow the roof off moment. Ugh. She also got picked on in match ups and got lost on the last defensive set. Hope she can turn it around. We need her shooting so badly.

The amount of airballed threes from everyone I hope was nerves, but man, we need offense badly and can't just hope Gabby fucking Williams comes and saves us every time.

Despite the gross offense and pretty terrible shooting, finding a way to win is pretty damn awesome. Hopefully the jitter go away and they can play at a higher offensive potential.

Ugly game, weird game. KT, Tip, Ja, Cici where of. refs are weird, missing so many shots, and stil: Angel shoot just 2 times after 1 quarter, and missed them both. Lot of strange fouls and missed flagrants...

We need to have a discussion that a lot of W fans aren’t ready for - certain players, who I won’t name, get roasted for constantly whining, AS THEY SHOULD.

This Valks subreddit has 656 posts (and counting), while the Dream sub has 208 (and a bunch of those are Valks fans, LOL). I love Tip, but she holds the ball looking for something, burns off the clock, does not see anything and then passes the ball to someone with 1 second left to create something out of nothing. And I love Ceci, but she has this pre-shot routine where by the time she is ready to shoot she is smothered, and ever since she missed last year's final shot against the Lynx she has been slightly off her clutch shots. And were the Valks running so short on time outs they did not call one when Canada fouled Gabby at the free throw line?

I haven't been over there but I hope those Valks fans are behaving themselves... this fan base is generally friendly and respectful so I don't have any particular reason to believe that they aren't but thought it worth mentioning. Fans can be sensitive about their safe havens being "invaded" by other teams' fans, especially during high stakes games like the Finals.

Watching Tip Hayes leading the attack was infuriating today. I know the Dream's defense is tough, but staying there wasting time to then throw a grenade to a teammate when the clock is running out didn't seem like the best option to me. Still a win, but ugly as hell.

I think Nat understands how the rotations should look going forward. I think she adjusted well. I hope we don’t have as many close games though. That was not good for my health.
Also the stress was probably on me. I wore Valks gear but not any violet colored ones. I put on a violet one in the last minutes of the 4th and then we retook the lead lmao

But yes. It was a reckless play that should have been reviewed. There needs to be a ref pool report because there were so many possible flagrants that they didn’t even look at

Swung back and forth. Towards the end it kinda looked like we got some soft make up calls that evened it out, there were just some very visible mistakes (flagrant on VB, foul on Ceci jumper, etc.)
