When a cold sidelines Oscar from starring in the school play, Emmy swaps the tech booth for the spotlight — leaving Trina to wreak havoc on the controls.

This was where I began to see Hollywood Arts on its own merits. Everybody got to share in the jokes, Daniella falling off the car and then being angry about it was really funny and the plot flowed really well.

Another solid episode in my opinion. I really enjoyed the B plot with Oscar & Pepper and Trina & Emmy’s plot was entertaining too.

Honestly, a solid step up from the first two episodes. It felt like characters were given breathing room for the first time. I was hoping episodes would start to feel like this once it had managed to establish itself.
I still feel like the audio is a little "off", though. I've seen another person mention this for Episode 2, and it's a little distracting. It feels a little muffled to me in some scenes, like it hasn't been mastered correctly in post-production.

I actually REALLY ENJOYED this episode! I think this is episode when it clicked for me, both plot wise and character wise, I really enjoyed main plot with the play, I really like Emmy as the lead and she is easy to identify with, and to my surprise Jen was I think my favorite character of the episode, she genuinely was funny and I actually really enjoyed Emmy-Jen scenes together (wish that Emmy didn't fall through the floor and wanted her to replace Oscar to the end of the episode lmao), Qwest and Pepper subplot with him teaching her to catch was actually sweet, I like their relationship and Oscar sick and still trying go to stage was also funny. Trina was ofc hilarious but that's just Daniella amazing comedy talent. Poor Emmy at the end though.
