They really destroyed the Sims. It is unplayable now.

It’s a store front for digital items. The game is unrecognizable. The Sims 1 and 2 were actual games. Everything after was a conduit for vicarious shopping.

Never forget that if you bought everything from The Sims 3 Store it would have cost nearly $2000, and none of that is expansion packs, just extra items (in case people are unaware, the equivalent marketplace for TS2 was completely free, even for Maxis made items).

Edit: The full cost with expansion packs is over $2500

I totally binned the sims this year.
Been playing it all my life and I’ve just given up completely

Literally. It's got that many bugs and glitches.

they made the sims 4 free because they know that the base game is so barebones that it makes people experience enough fomo to buy the 80 gabaillion dlc

I do like to play The Sims 4 from time to time but… I’m honestly a bit ashamed how much money I’ve used on the expansions even though I always buy them at a discount price. It’s just not worth it really. If you like building stuff, then it’s great although you have to deal with cheats a lot to make things look really nice, which is annoying. But the gameplay itself is just too repetitive and boring. I’m tempted to try Paralives or Inzoi, but so far haven’t.
