Why ask this question and get bewildered when people answer? This is probably the most obvious answer as some people don't enjoy hard games and play games casually.
I personally wasn't a fan of the big open world, the combat, or the little to no direction the game gives you. It felt like it wasn't respectful of my time. I don't even mind difficult games. But wandering around and fighting random enemies just isn't fun to me.
?????? You are literally doing the EXACT thing you JUST complained about??? They gave you a response that respectfully disagreed and now you get mad and start picking apart their comments? Holy fuck how hypocritical
I can recognise that a game is incredibly well made while also not vibing with it at all. I would never say that it's a bad game, it's just simply not for me. There's very little about it that appeals to me and after I played it for a good while I just completely lost interest and have no desire to go back to it.
Is it a good game? Yes, undoubtedly. Is it a game I enjoy? No.
To many people it is a very hard game. It's advertised and well known to be a hard game. I love it, but to say it's as hard as you make it isn't really what most people would say.
As a fan of fromsoft, Elden Ring felt like a step in the wrong direction. Enemies were easier, open world was super boring and you have no journal. Dark souls and bloodborne felt better because its more linear and metrovania like.
I dont think I got that far. I got to the mountain area and just quit out of boredom. Recycling mobs and bosses really urked me. And it was just the easiest Fromsoft game Ive played. I am not the biggest fan of open world games so it really just wasn't for me. But I am happy to From software and every that enjoyed the game. My personal favorite was Bloodborne.
The horse epitomizes the instant gratification culture around gaming. Commit to the journey you impatient baboon gamers. (Not you specifically, unless the shoe fits)
