The product ceases to have substantial worth

I spilt my man batter.

I didn’t like it either, and that’s disregarding how broken it was at first. I’ve never been the biggest RPG guy, but I recently revisited it and I’ve never been so sucked into a video game world than I was with cyberpunk

Just finished phantom liberty the other night. It was so god damn good

Its very easy to immerde yourself in it. Phantom Liberty might be the best expansion I've ever played

I got a mod to experience it in VR. I often play it just to explore the city.

Honestly it feels like one of the most dead environments. Build this massive world and it feels so empty and lifeless. Exploration is kinda pointless, there's never any cool pieces of lore or missions or anything.

Want to climb a mountain? There's nothing here for you to see! And you get teleported. So why fuck make that mountain!

Gta that was released what7 years before felt a way more lively environment.

Bought it a couple of months ago, got 70h in the game. Feels so lifeless compared to stuff like GTA.

u/DadJoke2077 Aug 19 '26

Calling Cyberpunk lifeless in comparison to GTA is just insane. GTA is gangster slop.

Gta V had fun little interactions that could start small missions.

Cyberpunk has nothing of that. You just approach the POI and get a phone call. That's always how it starts and it's kinda boring.

This was me. I wanted so bad to like it but it never clicked. I found the UI to be confusing, the story seems kinda all over the place. I couldn’t easily tell which weapons did what and why. I never knew if I was going the right way or doing anything correctly. Waste of cash for me unfortunately.

I have tried and tried and tried. I bought the ultimate edition and everything the combat just feels so sticky ig?

u/Moriarty2099 Aug 19 '26

Once you get past level 40, combat becomes faster and smoother by a country mile. The agility you gain is crazy fast. I didn’t even know about Sandevistan or throwing knives until my 3rd playthrough, and that was a huge amount of fun.

I love cyberpunk but I really dislike most of it's guns. Enemies have tons of HP and it takes forever to kill them by shooting. Exception is a sniper rifle which was my favourite weapon until I tried katana's. Going melee really made it for me, it's one of the most dynamic FPS

u/garlicpeep Aug 19 '26

They go down fast to guns but you have to build your perks and cyberware for the specific gun you want to use. I forget the name of the perks but with ARs you can build stacks that increase crit chance and crit damage with every crit shot, even on the hardest difficulty the mobs go down really fast.

u/ColorfulPersimmon Aug 20 '26

You may be right, I haven't tested a full gun build. But early gameplay is really slow

I played this with frien of mine and he really liked it. Ended up running with shorts and punching lanterns (they had physics of 2000 game, flying like cardboard all aroind).

It was so, so bad. I never played this ever again.

I was the same way. Tried playing it on release and bounced off of it. Came back years later after Phantom Liberty and actually had a blast! Sometimes you just aren't in the right frame of mind for something!

it took like 5 tries for me, but once I finished act 1 i was addicted for like 2 weeks

u/Jellyoscar Aug 19 '26

Same, i kept going back to try it but it felt overwhelming and confusing especially the ui. I’m also not a fan of futuristic type games like that either.

u/14Pleiadians Aug 19 '26

I always go to try and and am annoyed by how blurry/muddy everything looks.

Cyberpunk is one of the cleanest looking games out there if you have the hardware to run it on good settings, and one of the ugliest if you dont. I can run 100fps Path Tracing on my 4080 Super but when my friend plays on console im like "wtf this sucks".
