I hate everything about modern games

Sucks to be you I guess. Modern games are amazing. And your first sentence is just purely false to begin with.

Happiness is a choice, you could just choose to enjoy new stuff but you don't.

Difficult to be happy when the games they release have MTxs and run like dogshit on a 4090

It’s better to wait for the modern game to become old so it actually works

PvP well and truly lost its way. 20 years later and they’ve still not figured out how to make a better game than CoD4/Gears 1-3/Halo 3. Or arguably 30 years for CS.

22 years later and they’ve not figured out how to dethrone wow classic/OSRS

Funny the best game of the last 5 years is BG3… no MTxs, runs well, made well. Sounds like the old way of making games…..

Edit: first sentence is valid due to so many games using UE5. You know that’s a sub 80fps game with frame spikes before you even install it.

Edit 2: tell me what’s better about modern games vs 2007-2010. I’ll wait

Variety and the sheer number of games releasing if you aren't too ignorant. But that doesn't look like the case here so any point made by me will be ignored. Might as well talk to brick wall

Truly a shame how so many gamers would rather bask in cynicism and circlejerk over 'the good ol' days' than actually play some amazing video games.

Play games? We don't do that here buddy, we only like to post about how all the games are trash now and back in the day they were wayy better. Also all the game releasing now are only multiplayer btw, not because I don't look past COD and fifa but because they are the only games releasing this year!!

You wrote an entire paragraph of buzzwords from " Why modern gaming sucks" videos from Youtube. My guy there is so much variety in gaming rn from either AAA or Indie games; just stop watching youtube videos complaining about the latest Call of Duty or Ubisoft game and actually play something for once.

I don’t watch those YouTube videos so 🤷

I my opinions fall in line with them, then I guess there’s something to it.

Indie games are not relevant. Unless they use UE5, then they become relevant.

Haven’t played a CoD since Blops 2 or a Ubisoft game since AC1 fyi.

Indie games are not relevant. Unless they use UE5, then they become relevant.

One of the worst takes I've ever seen showing clearly you spend more time complaining than playing games.

Silksong, balatro, blue prince, hi-fi rush, animal well, sea of stars, dredge, Slay the Spire 2, Hades 2, do I need to go on?

No, I spend my time playing the games I enjoy. It doesn’t matter what they are. Usually they’re older. Classic WoW. Med 2 TW. Alan Wake. CoH2. Stellaris. Dawn of War 2. DA Origins etc.

Not interested in card games, or side scrollers. Not too fond of Roguelites either.

I play enough indie games, SOMA, Software Inc, Raft, Valheim etc

Complaining is perfectly valid when the quality drops substantially. Which is why I said indie games aren’t valid - because they aren’t in the same boat as AAA. And then ties into why I said indies are relevant if they’re on UE5 because then they also run like trash

Why are indie games not relevant? Are they not "modern" games?

Difficult to be happy when the games they release have MTxs and run like dogshit on a 4090

This is your original point and yet there are countless games both indie and AAA that aren't filled with these issues. Don't get me wrong complaining is completely valid given the recent optimisation issues in certain amount of games (not majority) but come on let's not pretend every single modern game is riddled with those. Just expand your horizons dude

Bro I'm still using my 2060, the GPU is probably not your problem.
