There are some... concerning implications if you follow that logic through, though.

yeah nations of suffering people cause they were all “bad people in a past life” is a crazy cope for christian people to not care about 3rd world countries and ignore the fact that they directly benefitted from it.

I’m not arguing that it’s bad cope but Christian’s wouldn’t believe this because they don’t believe in reincarnation, they believe in heaven and hell for your actions. I’m sure there are some but it’s not in any of the Christian denominations faith

you’re right, you’re right. Mentally defaulting cause I just hear that way too much about “in a past life” from people here in the U.S.

Yeah it gets thrown around here a lot, even I say shit like that from time to time despite not actually believing in reincarnation. Im also not Christian though but grew up in the church. Just wasn’t sure if you knew that wasn’t Christianity or not! It’s still a fucked up cope though

It definitely wouldn’t be a Christian belief because Christians believe in either Heaven or Hell, with some denominations also believing in Purgatory (not quite Hell and you work your sins off to get into Heaven with a lesser punishment than those in Hell). That might be a Buddhist or Buddhist adjacent belief.

yes i acknowledged my error in assumption earlier, just haven’t bothered editing it. I just see it adopted and talked about from just about everybody other than actual buddhist in western culture but I’ve never actually learned about christianity outside of being raised in a baptist family

Like who's being reincarnated into the abuser position?

I was thinking more the implication that people being abused deserve it.
