I cleared rubble at the site - we could see ambulances constantly rushing patients to nearby hospitals to continue their treatment while the building was still burning, including some who had power go out midway through their surgery. There was also children getting their chemo treatments outside in the rubble, just horrible.

How in the fuck are the Russian people OK with this? Are they completely unaware or is news like this making it's way to them around the state media propaganda I wonder.

I cannot imagine how people could support horrors like this.

I get the impression that they don’t easily have access to outside sources. Their internet is heavily censored. They get what the government wants them to see.

How are Americans okay with what the American government has been doing?

Bet the answers are similar.

We are not okay with it, and it's frustrating that so many people jump to conclusions and believe we are.

There have been lots of protests and actions by activist groups against this government. It doesn't mean we can magically stop everything the government is doing. Republicans in Congress, as well as several Supreme Court justices, are the biggest obstacles to anything actually changing. But you blame us instead of them.

Ah ha! Another person who read my comment and forgot we were answering a question!

Your opening clause is also likely applicable to Russian citizens. That's my entire point of asking said question back to the original commenter.

People are a lot more alike all over the world than they are different.

We are largely not ok with it, and are actively protesting to curtail the current fascist regime.

Significant efforts are being put into defeating republicans in the midterms, after which Democrats may have a small ability to limit overreaches of power.

Also, the current administration is in power primarily because Democrats who showed up for Biden didn't show up for Harris specifically because they didn't think the Democrats were doing enough to reduce the violence in Gaza, now we have war monger Trump, so that mindset didn't work.

So the situations are actually diametrically opposed, not at all similar. But feel free to post more derivative cynical quips if that makes you feel better.

And there you are pretending to know for a fact that most Russians are okay with their government while mad that my comment might mean I think most Americans are okay with our government. lol

When, in fact, based on the upvotes, most people can read my comment and see that your opening clause likely applies to both countries.

I literally asked a question, and you didn't respond addressing anything I said. I don't care about upvotes, I respond to threads to have active and thought out discussions, which you seem incapable of doing.

Have fun continuing to shitpost though, glad those upvotes make you feel better about yourself.

I see zero question marks, buddy.

Maybe start there.

How in the fuck are the Russian people OK with this?

This is what you responded to. Is reading comprehension super difficult for you?

If you aren't going to respond actually engaging with anything I'm saying, just stop posting.

I answered that question.

Sorry you did not understand the answer.

There were zero questions in your follow up, just a bunch of assumptions.
