Including the entire GOP

Include the entire political system, it’s not just one party. The Democrats are no less imperialist than their opponents.

MAGA is not Republican. Never have been.

That's obviously not true in the here and now. If it were, Republicans wouldn't have worked so hard to let MAGA control the party. They're now the same picture.

I feel like at this point, fiscal conservatives should just rebrand rather than try and remind everyone that people like Romney, Kinzinger and... um

Massie, I was misremembering and he wasn't in the article I use to remember the name of sane-publicans who FOed from maga's neonazi takeover. I guess he's been more vocally supportive of trump than I thought.

::shakes head:: I know y'all are stubborn, but it's probably time to realize that "your" party - the name you always use - is a bunch of neonazis and bigoted weirdos. Prolly time to pick a new name.

"Fiscal conservatives" should have some self-reflection on how the last 50 years has been a parade of their leaders somehow mysteriously attaching themselves to a succession of evils to forward their own greed. At some point it's no longer a whoopsy-doopsy, it's an intentional pattern.

Fiscal conservatives haven't existed since the 90s (when Clinton worked with congress to balance the budget).

I suppose you could argue Obama was a fiscal conservative significantly shrinking the deficit.

But overall both parties seem to love injecting extra money into the system with debt, though I'd argue republicans are worse as unfunded wars are one of the largest controllable expenses we've had over the course of my lifetime, and they seem to start the larger ones.
