Armed Israeli settlers launch a violent assault on the Palestinian Christian village of Taybeh, in the occupied West Bank.

According to Palestinian writer Ihab Hassan, Israeli settlers are targeting visiting French and Belgian diplomats, smashing their vehicle windows with batons, and physically assaulting local residents.

The attack has so far left a 12-year-old child and an elderly woman injured.

French Mayor Assaulted by Israeli Settlers in Palestinian Christian Village

Bernard Baudoux, mayor of Aulnoye-Aymeries in northern France, was assaulted by masked Israeli settlers in Taybeh, a predominantly Christian Palestinian village in the occupied West Bank.

Seven masked settlers attacked a visiting European delegation from France, Belgium and Poland during the olive harvest, smashing the window of a Belgian consular vehicle and threatening the visitors with sticks and stones.

Footage shows the French mayor on the ground following the confrontation.

As Gaza lies devastated by Israel’s genocide, the far-right Nachala settlement movement has launched a new campaign to seize Palestinian land and re-establish Israeli settlements inside the Strip.

More than 700 settlers gathered near Gaza’s border fence, erecting structures and infrastructure under the name “Pioneers of Gaza,” while demanding that the Israeli occupation government move the outpost into northern Gaza.

He was present when the Battalion’s commander Ofir Adani gave a speech before they entered Gaza in which he told his men: ‘I want you to be angry. I want you to rage. I want you to have a deep sense of revenge. Anyone who messes with us should die. He and his family. And his relatives. And everyone who supported him.’

Green said that as well as Adani giving several speeches like this, Ezra Yachin, a 98-year-old who was involved in a Zionist militia’s 1948 Deir Yassin massacre of Palestinians, gave a speech to his company before they entered Gaza. ‘This guy comes to us, a group of soldiers, and he’s just telling the story of how he massacred villagers…and no one blinks an eye. And I think this shows you very very well what type of atmosphere we’ve had before we went into Gaza. The writing was on the wall.’

Green said he saw widespread damage to residential properties, which could constitute war crimes.

‘I went to [my commander] and I told him, if we’re burning down those houses, I’m leaving the next day. I’m not willing to be a part of it. This is the last straw. And, that’s what happened. They burnt down the houses. I went back, and this was it.’

"Our latest investigation exposes a British man who fought for the Israeli army in Gaza when war crimes appear to have been committed.

Jonathan Burman, who is in his mid-20s and from Manchester, posted photographs on his Instagram account showing him fighting in Khan Younis early in the conflict.

Newly discovered images show Burman standing in front of a primary school in Gaza that had been set on fire, as a fellow soldier smiles beside him.

There are no tents waiting for them and nowhere left to go. All they did was run from death. Since Sunday, the occupation has dragged these concrete markers of the Yellow Line west through Shuja’iyya, swallowing the entire neighbourhood and pushing them to within metres of Salah Al-Din Street. Every block that moves takes more of Gaza’s land. Palestinian researchers say Gaza’s population is now squeezed into about 40 percent of the Strip.

They locked their doors and took their keys, because they were told they would be back in seven days. Seventy-eight years later, survivors of the 1948 Nakba still carry those keys. In this video, they remember the night the expulsion began. Zionist militias and terror groups, including the Haganah, the Irgun and Lehi, swept through Palestinian towns and villages, armed and backed by Britain, shooting their way in and killing those who refused to leave.

Families woke to gunfire and fled with only their children, moving from village to village as the attacks followed them. Some found shelter in towns that had not yet fallen, only to be driven out again weeks later. Others were pushed across the border into Lebanon, Syria and Jordan, and grew up in refugee camps a few hours’ walk from homes they would never be allowed to see again.

Children were pulled out of their classrooms mid-lesson, and mothers carried what they could in their arms. A village defended by six or seven men with sticks and shovels stood no chance against an organised army with tanks, they say. More than 750,000 Palestinians were driven from their homes in 1948 and over 500 villages were wiped out, and not one of them has been allowed to return. “If we could go,” one survivor says, “we’d walk to Palestine barefoot.”
