It was a rough time for the band but I think we can agree that Julian and Nick's aura peaked on Letterman 2011

Modern girls + old fashioned men
I don’t know if anyone else sees the vision here
but instead of regina
they should rework the song live
and get a new vocalist
and i see no better match than Hayley Williams…
I think her and Julian would absolutely KILL on this track together
And both of them are some of my favourite artists in general and i would love to see a collab like this happen
Any thoughts on an idea like this?
or another vocalist you see fit?

Record Store
When you go to a random record store, in a "random" town in a "random" day of your life and find this one opening 🤣

The Adults Are Talking advice/help
Anyone have any advice or tips for how I can help my middle school son with The Adults Are Talking. He and some buddies decided to perform The Adults Are Talking for his school's talent show. My kid is on guitar, one pal on guitar and vocals, and another pal on drums. Haven't found a bassist, might not find one.
My son has been saying the guitar is a little challenging. They aren't 100% sure how to arrange without bassist. And they have a week to pull it together.

Getting married on Friday. I’ll be walking down the aisle to this.
My fiancée will be walking down the aisle to an instrumental of “Here, There, and Everywhere.” Really wish there was a high quality piano instrumental of “Selfless” but the only ones I can find are YouTube videos of less than stellar audio quality.

What strokes song?
There’s a part around 1:30, that sounds so much like a strokes song and I can’t figure it out.

You say I sound like don henley
Does anybody actually draw any comparison between Julian and don Henley? I can’t hear it. Any particular tracks sound like each other?

Trying to find an obscure Strokes song from 2001–2003ish time frame, possibly called “Liberty” or “Liberate”?
I'm hoping someone can help me here, because I can't remember the name of this song and it's killing me. Back around 2001–2003 I read about a Strokes song in a Rolling Stone article. It wasn’t on Is This It or Room on Fire, but I remember finding the track somehow (Limewire?)
I thought the title was something like “Liberty,” maybe “Liberate” but I’m not sure. Searching those names gets me nothing.
Back then I I had a seasonal holiday gig working at a record store and I asked a guy working there who was a huge Strokes fan whether he’d heard it. He said I was the second person to ask him about it, and he’d never heard of it (bothered him; I felt cool).
It's not NYC Cops. If anyone knows what the hell I'm talking about, or even if you don't remember the song but you can confirm I'm not losing it, I'd welcome that acknowledgement, too. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated.

Why is The Adults Are Talking connected to so many of julian’s other songs?
The ending of TAAT has been used many times for new Julian songs live.
- The Eternal Tao. This was first seen at the ending of TAAT at a voidz show where they mashed up a demo. The ‘i don’t want anything, unless it’s you’ is seen in both song
- At the same show there was also parts of Did My Best on that outro
- There’s a new song Julian has been previewing live at the ending of TAAT recently
Other references:
Square wave ‘i don’t wanna say anything is wrong’ part also sounds similar to ‘i don’t want anything’ melody wise
Honourable mentions:
I Can’t Win intro sounds like a more nostalgic version of TAAT intro.
Dine ‘N Dash riff sounds like a darker version of TAAT riff
