Hey Yall,
Recently, there has been an uptick in troll posts and comments. The Mod team removes the blatantly inappropriate ones, but leaves those that are not explicitly breaking any rules. With this increase, we wanted to let the sub vote on what to do with those accounts. Should we outright ban troll accounts that are purely trying to provoke, or should we keep them up and have the people downvote and respond to them?
I'm going to make this poll last a few days so that everyone gets a chance to vote. Please comment any other ideas you have.
Thanks!

Hard to avoid rule 8 when a team is so deeply intertwined with a religious hegemony.

Nobody benefits from this change more than our schools. The current 12 team format is one Big12 school begrudgingly being let in and every other Big12 school being told to kick rocks. Worst case scenario with the 24 team playoff is the exact same thing that’s happening currently. The most likely scenario is we get 2-3 teams in every year that are actually given a chance to win some big games.
The regular season matters way more for us now too. Multiple Big 12 schools will actually be fighting for playoff spots late in the season instead of us just hoping the CCG loser sneaks in. I honestly think everyone is benefiting here besides the spoiled powerhouse fanbases, which is a really weird thing to say in modern CFB. Ohio State and Alabama fans that are bitching about their regular seasons games not mattering as much anymore can get fucking bent. Welcome to our world assholes this money grabbing shit really sucks doesn’t it?

Seems like with 24 playoff bracket p4 divide with G6 will grow even further

He’s ass. ND will shut him down. He’s currently their best running back who occasionally checks the ball down. BYU doesn’t stand a chance.

I was taking a look at BigXII markets out of curiosity and found it interesting. Yes, the chart is compiled by Gemini and may contain errors. I thought others might find it interesting as well.
I understand that TCU and Houston have a ton of competition from Texas and Texas A&M, but it is kind of surprising that the Houston area has no other in-market P4 schools. If they could get a little more fan engagement, Houston football could be huge. I think TCU suffers from being a smaller private school, but what do I know.
People frequently look up the population of SL,UT and assume that it is really small, without realizing that it is basically a 90 mile+ long continuous city divided up into many smaller cities. In spite of this, even federal MSA designations still split it into three regions, further perpetuating the misperception. Too bad we have to share it with BYU 🙂.
I feel like ASU should be a bigger deal than it seems to be. Phoenix is a massive sprawl; I wonder if that plays into it somehow. Like many of these areas, ASU also has to compete with professional football.

*BYU does not have to post report as their matchup is not within the BigXII

Any notable moments from your favorite Big 12 schools?

They definitely should try to do it. Will be interesting to see if the stadium will actually finally reach capacity. Hasn’t happened since Week 5 of last season and that was because TTU fans made up 30% of the stadium

Utah had a pretty rough entrance into the conference. It wasn’t very pleasant. Lots of Utah fans were kind of pretentious Dbags. It gave a bad first impression.
I’m genuinely curious if the conference fan bases as a whole still believe that Utah’s fan base is comprised of ugly and pretentious assholes.
BYU fans who are just going to talk trash and not give an objective answer - I salute you, speak for yourself but please don’t speak on behalf of the conference I’m genuinely curious how others feel.
Here's the football power rankings for week 7, voted for by r/BigXII.

West Virginia dropped 3 spots (1.54) after a home loss to Arizona.
Arizona State jumped 2 spots (1.54) after a home win over Hawai'i.
SATURDAY
The defense has seen a lot of Isaac in practice. However, Isaac was supposed to have played a lot better in practice than in games. Do you think that’s because he has seen so much of the defense and knew what to expect? Who do you think has the advantage on this one?
