Make the player character a hamis and noita fans will buy it just because

That looks so much like the level design of „Oh no! More Lemmings!“ or maybe the first „Worms“ game.

Hehe, yeah especially the ants give a Lemmings vibe! I'm currently making a spider that weaves web and traps the ants.

Liero was my jam and for others old enough to remember when landlines were a thing
2
u/PartTimeMonkey Aug 21 '26
Indeed! The game this is based on is pretty much Liero and Worms combined with a hint of Noita

There sure are a lot of vaguely identical simulations popping up lately. This seems about on par for what GenAI can do.

Ah is that why the lava is sandlava

u/Rop-Tamen Aug 21 '26
I’m very confused as to why they’d use the sand logic for lava instead of whatever they’re doing for water… I feel like it’s literally right there

Cool! but it's a bit strange how the water shoots out instantly from ledges and makes these floating horizontal lines

For anyone into these falling sand things there's this game that has been taking up way too much of my time lately
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2764460/Sandustry/
It's only in early access if you're not into that sort of thing, but it's pretty fun. Haven't gotten this absorbed into a game since Satisfactory

Wow I love this! So relaxing. But what is the green stuff? If I put it in water, it just generates more water? Is it some kind of toxic waste?
I also don't understand what the brown substance is. XD I think maybe showing the names on hover would be helpful?

u/PartTimeMonkey Aug 21 '26
Thanks. Yup, I agree! It’s supposed to be acid but it bugs put with water still. :) Brown is mud, it doesn’t really serve a good purpose yet.. and yes, will add the names!

Amazing! Loved these 'sand toys' please add more materials and larger playfields. Improvement could be heating or cooling surrounding pixels. lava melts rock slowly but loses temperature when it does sort of thing.

u/Thorkell_The_Tall1 Aug 22 '26
I used to play that all the time on my shitty ass phone under the sheets at night between school days
2
u/attaack_maax Aug 22 '26
I had it on my kindle fire, I remember filling every map with lava because what else was I supposed to do?

Reminds me of a Java browser game I played a lot when I was younger. It was simply called "Powder Game" by the developer Dan-Ball.
