My son, Norman, has an incredibly stinky rear end sometimes. I’ll gently wipe on and around his butt with a kitty wipe and or an unscented baby wipe every so often, but it becomes almost worse smelling and dirty in about 5 hours after cleaning. I don’t attempt to clean it again as I’ve over cleaned the area once before. Otherwise, he’s very clean and mushroom soupy most often 🤣😵‍💫😵‍💫
Any advice on how I can relieve any kind of issue that he may be experiencing? Or is it something normal they go through in aging? Diet?

Hi all! My 2 year old sphynx is usually super active but she’s been sleeping for the past like 17 hours. I figured it was just because she was very rowdy this week but I just noticed this yellowish lesion around her eye. Has anyone seen one of these?

He is the grumpiest, funniest cat I’ve ever seen. He’s twice the size of my other Sphynx cats, they are terrified of him and he seems to find it funny.
Every morning, he sits on my laps and cuddles with me while I drink my coffee, but growls the whole time.

not sure if she's always had this but if she has it's gotten bigger for sure, any ideas? she is missing fuzz there not that she has much lol but is it just a weird little patch

on 1st October 2026 I finally made an ultrasound of his stomach and he received the diagnosis of IBD, severely inflamed lymphnodes and thick stomach walls because of said inflammation.

On that same appointment, with a heavy heart, I eventually submitted to allowing my cat receive a cortisone injection...

His stomach cramps had vanished after approx. 4 days and so has his diarrhea. He has firm stool, even if some mild blood and slime is still being pooped out as well.

At the same time, I have put away the dry kibble to leave him on wet food only, and have also bought an automatic wet feeder so he can be fed regularly, which is 6 times a day of about two quite large teaspoons. Since day one I removed the kibble, he hasn't touched his water bowl even a single time, but pees regularly like he has always done. But just to be safe, I also add two teaspoons of water into each meal.

The food I now use instead of Hill's i/d digestive care (chicken w/ veggies): Vet-Concept horse monoprotein (sana), and he has been eating it very well. I had tried insects before that, but he kept throwing it up sadly, so horse meat it is hahaha

But he has been meowing non-stop ever since that cortisone injection, begging for food! I am going INSANE! And now I have noticed him rapidly losing weight despite eating so well, pooping firmly and peeing, and playing a lot more than he used to during his pains. He even does ANYTHING he can in order to get to my food, opening my pots of cooked meat somehow (which he ISN'T suppose to eat because of the spices!!!!) and he still screams for food. I understand what the steroid causes with the whole thing of making a cat's stomach seem empty even if it's physically full, but him losing weight this bad? I don't get it... Is it diabetes? Did anyone else's cat have something similar after cortisone?

I foster failed, didn't really have a plan to adopt my sphynx but i fell in love and i've now adopted him.

I live in northern canada, its going to be a cold long winter. What tempurature should my apartment be? And is there anything else i could do to avoid cranking the heat, i actually have a very hard time sleeping in a hot apartment. Could i do heated blankets and clothes instead?

Apparently Netflix created an animation series for cats. The use of colours, sounds, animations of Sealook should be made for the eyes and ears of cats. I thought it was a joke but hell no. Our sphynx is addicted, involved, so focused. It's hilarious to watch him enjoying some limited screentime. 😆

They've got my electric blanket taken up and woke up and had tandem bath time lol.
