Politics Leila Rachel Benali 's departure is a major loss for this government

She is an internationally experienced energy expert, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see her return to the private sector, perhaps working with Saudi Aramco, returning to the UK, or taking on another international role.

What many people may forget is that, during the Russia - Ukraine energy crisis, when gas supplies from our neighbouring country were abruptly cut off, she helped secure alternative gas supplies by reversing the flow of the Maghreb-Europe gas pipeline.

Anyone who has followed her work closely also knows of her interest in nuclear energy, a field that could play an important role in Morocco’s long-term energy strategy.

Regardless of political opinions, losing someone with this level of expertise and international experience is a significant loss.

Why is the average person so fiercely anti-socialist despite barely knowing what socialism is? They’ll defend billionaires they’ll never meet, worship a system that treats them as disposable, and call universal healthcare tyranny while spending half their lives paying medical bills. Who convinced the working class that the real enemy is the person asking for a bigger slice of the pie, rather than the one eating the whole damn thing?

Humor Spaniards doing Nazi salutes? Believe it or not, it's Morocco's fault, since it helped fascist Franco ruin Spain. What's even more bizarre is that this happened when Morocco didn't even exist?! The first country to exist and not exist at the same time, depending on how you want to frame history.

Society What’s going on with people’s feet and ankles in Morocco?

Genuine question, has anyone else noticed how many people in Morocco seem to have unusually wide or swollen feet and ankles?
I’ve noticed it particularly among women. Is water retention really that common? And what about men? Is there some underlying health, dietary or lifestyle issue?
Another thing I’ve noticed is how little foot care there seems to be. In summer, it’s flip-flops everywhere. In winter, it’s literally house slippers with socks, out in the middle of the street.
It doesn’t matter whether someone is going for a walk, riding a motorbike, working as an electrician or doing pretty much anything else. Same footwear.
Sometimes it genuinely looks like people’s feet wouldn’t even fit comfortably into regular shoes or sneakers. Could this explain the obsession with flip-flops and slippers?
Is it a matter of comfort, habit, lack of proper footwear, or something else? And am I the only one who finds it strange to see people riding motorbikes or doing manual labour in bedroom slippers?

If humanity claims to stand for justice, human rights, and dignity, then how do we explain our repeated failure to protect Palestinian lives? How many resolutions, statements, and images of suffering does it take before words become action? And when history asks what we did while an entire people suffered, will we be able to say we did enough, or will our silence become part of the answer?

Doing a corporate career feels like a lifetime of performance and trying to convince other people that you are worthy. From the moment you graduate (cv, internships) until the day you retire. Its exhausting. That is why i think medical careers are better since there is no notion of competitive CV, you’re either a doctor or you’re not.

Discussion Similar Interests, Genuine Connections

Heyyy 🖐 , I’d like to meet some people who share similar interests and are looking to build genuine, supportive bonds.

I’m into curious subjects like : psychology, philosophy, geopolitics ,human nature, true crime, science, fantasy books , spirituality ( im non religious) ....

Also music, running fragrances and pretty much anything interesting enough to send me down a rabbit hole ...

It’d be nice to have people to talk to about random things, share ideas, laugh about stupid stuff, support each other, and be there for each other through good and bad days.

If this sounds like your kind of thing , feel free to say hey :)
