I grew up watching this show, and to this day, Tom Welling is still my favorite Superman of all time!
I’ll admit, the pilot was amazing, but the show started off a little slow for me. As the seasons went on, especially toward the end when it started diving deeper into comic book territory, I fell in love with it even more.
But what really made Smallville special to me wasn’t just the superhero stuff. It was the life lessons and values that came with it.
• It reinforced the same morals and values my parents raised me with.
• It taught me that not everyone is born a bad person and that people can change.
• It taught me to look for different solutions before resorting to extreme measures.
• It inspired me to see the good in people, even when others don’t.
• It reminded me that doing the right thing isn’t always easy, but it’s still worth doing.
Whenever I’m feeling down or lost, I rewatch Smallville. It always helps clear my mind

Context: Clark and Kara are in the phantom zone and while they are looking for a why out, they're having a hart to hart.

I really just love this scene between my two favorite characters and so i wanted to share it.

[Discussion] Mongul's heat vision was crucial in the '80s and was last seen in the New 52. Do you want him to use it again?

Superman and Horror

So I'm rewatching some Superman: TAS and I really like the Unity episode.

Superman vs horror concepts is always hard. Like Superman vs Aliens doesn't work because Superman mogs the Xenomorph usually and they have to go out of their way to really make it feel real.

Compare to Batman vs Predator which is a way easier fight to pace/right.

But Unity does it real well. It's cosmic horror so it's scales better and the threat isn't

"Oh my god this thing will hurt me with it's Kryptonian piercing claws"

It's

"Oh my god this thing took over Smallville and now my parents are in danger".

Also focuses on Supergirl for a POV character which was neat. I always like seeing Supergirl be closer to Superman, family wise.

Anyways, I was wondering what ideas you'd have for a Superman vs Cosmic Horror arc for the comics or if there are any horror adjecent issues that you remember?
