Discussion How can we cure our country of racism and white supremacy?

Post image
72 Upvotes

There should be 0 racism and -100% white supremacy على أرض الجمهورية التونسية

Our fellow Africans with dark skins are our dear brothers who we share one struggle with against European exploitation and unequal exchange. For Tunisia to fully prosper the whole of Africa must prosper too.

How can we make the racist dumbasses less stupid and get them to act like decent human beings?

Discussion Gen Z, WHEN THE FUCK IS IT OUR TURN?

France. Albania. Brazil. Argentina. Spain. Germany. Belgium. Azerbaijan.

Look at the news. People are getting fed up. They're protesting, challenging the system, and refusing to keep playing along like everything is fine.

Meanwhile, we're watching our futures get fucked by corruption, unemployment, rising prices, and politicians who couldn't care less about ordinary people.

We're the generation that can organize millions of people with a phone, yet we're still waiting for something to change.

Waiting for what? Permission? A better time? Someone else to do it for us?

Every generation gets told to accept the world it inherits. Maybe it's time we stopped accepting that bullshit.

If people elsewhere are standing up, why the fuck are we still waiting?

Gen Z, when are we going to stop watching history happen and start making some ourselves?

Question/Help Impostor syndrome and academic stress

Im close to passing an exam that is very selective and the stakes are high , i sacrificed a lot for it but now as its approaching i feel like im trapped and i cant get out… if it didnt workout which is a possibility then i cant imagine how i will deal with my hurt and disappointment and the time , energy and ressources i invested in this… on top of that im not able to study and focus well lately , all i think about is how my performance in the last years wasnt the best and that many people used to get better than me and we are all passing the same exam so my chances seem smaller every time i think of everything that is against my favor or compare myself to others . I just cant shake the belief that im not enough or that im just mediocre and i need to accept it and its killing my soul everyday in a way no one could ever imagine or understand …. If anyone went through this or can understand what m talking about can u tell me what could help please ?

Question/Help Why even attending uni if you don’t get to understand anything in class anyway?

I’m a uni student and the fact that I have to understand every lesson all by myself as soon as I get home makes me question the role of them so called “professors” like why am I even attending? I’m wasting my time watching the board getting full and empty in a row and it’s quite impossible to catch up + most of what’s being given in class has nothing to do with them exams anyway so again, why attending? And how did the past AI era people make it ????

Discussion I lose interest in every girl I talk to

I'm a 28M, and lately I've been struggling to understand something about myself.

I genuinely want to build a family one day. I want to find a woman I truly love, who loves me just as much, build a life together, and raise beautiful kids in a home filled with love. It's something I genuinely look forward to.

The problem is that whenever I meet a girl I like and start talking to her, everything feels exciting at first. I'm curious about her and want to get to know her. But after a week or two, something changes. I start feeling bored, tired, or just off. It's hard to explain, but it's like my interest suddenly disappears, and I struggle to maintain the connection. Sometimes, she hasn't even done anything wrong.

For context, I'm 28, have a stable job and income, work out, and go out with friends. I'm generally building a life I'm happy with, so I don't think I'm simply looking for someone to fill a void.

I honestly don't know, and I don't want to keep repeating this cycle. I want a meaningful relationship, but I feel like something keeps getting in the way.

How to overcome this?

Discussion Eternal heaven sounds like hell to me. Does anyone else feel this way

I've wanted to talk about this for a while because I've never really understood why the idea of eternal heaven is supposed to be comforting. Even when I was Muslim, I couldn't imagine myself being happy there forever. I'm not posting this to attack anyone's beliefs; I'm genuinely curious about how other people understand heaven, because the more I think about it, the more unsettling it becomes to me.
One thing I've never been able to get past is the idea of being happy in heaven while the people I love are burning in hell. I can't imagine knowing that someone I once loved, someone who was part of my life, is suffering for eternity and somehow being perfectly fine with it. The usual explanation is that God will remove our sadness, but I find that difficult to accept. If I have to lose the ability to grieve for someone I love in order to enjoy my own existence, doesn't that change the way I love them? Their absence would no longer hurt me because something fundamental about me had changed. I wouldn't even be able to feel the sadness that comes with losing them. That doesn't sound like a comforting thought to me.
It also makes me wonder how much of our personality we're supposed to lose in heaven. We're told that God will remove jealousy and hatred from our hearts, but these emotions, however unpleasant, are part of our human experience. I don't think every negative trait defines us, but there's a difference between growing as a person and having parts of your personality removed so that you're incapable of feeling anything unpleasant. If God changes me until I'm guaranteed to be happy forever, would the person in heaven really be me? And if evil is impossible there, do we even have free will in the way we understand it now? It feels like our happiness would depend on becoming someone who can no longer want anything that might interfere with it.
I have a similar problem with the pleasures described in paradise. Gold, jewels, magnificent houses, endless food and drink. I understand why these things would be appealing on Earth, where people struggle with poverty and hunger, and where wealth gives us access to things we might never otherwise experience. But in a place where everyone has everything and nobody needs food or drink to survive, I struggle to understand what makes these rewards meaningful. Eating is enjoyable partly because we're hungry; luxury is desirable partly because we don't all have access to it. I can't picture an eternity of these pleasures being fulfilling once the things that make them desirable no longer matter.
The descriptions of sexual rewards have also always bothered me. Islamic traditions are often interpreted as promising men beautiful virgin companions, while women's sexual rewards are much less explicitly described. We're also told that jealousy will be removed from our hearts. As a woman, I find it difficult to understand why the solution to potentially feeling unhappy about sharing your husband with other women would be to remove your jealousy. It sometimes feels as though men's desires are directly accommodated, while women are expected to have their feelings changed so they can be happy with the arrangement. I'd genuinely like to understand how Muslims interpret this differently.
Then there's eternity itself. I can't really imagine existing forever without ever reaching an end. Even if heaven were everything I wanted, the thought of living there for billions of years, knowing I'd still have an infinite amount of time ahead of me, feels strange rather than comforting. Maybe I can't comprehend eternity because I'm human, but I can't help wondering whether endless happiness would eventually mean anything at all.
I think what bothers me most is that the version of me who enters heaven seems like she might have to be fundamentally different from the person writing this post. My feelings, my desires, and even my relationship with the people I love could all be changed. And if that's what makes eternal happiness possible, I struggle to see how it would be my happiness rather than the happiness of someone God has turned me into.
I'd really like to hear how other people think about this, especially Muslims who have reflected on these questions themselves. Maybe I'm misunderstanding something about the Islamic conception of heaven, and I'm open to hearing other perspectives. Has anyone else ever felt this way about the idea of eternal paradise, or have you found an explanation that makes it more comforting?
