Rewatchers, please remember to be mindful of all the first-timers in this. No talking about or hinting at future events no matter how much you want to, unless you're doing it underneath spoiler tags. Don't spoil anything for the first-timers, that's rude!

/r/anime's spoiler tag format is as follows:

[Sakamoto]>!Sakamoto is COOL! COOLER! COOLEST!!<

Which becomes [Sakamoto]Sakamoto is COOL! COOLER! COOLEST! when you don't break the formatting on purpose like I just did.

I like how they have the OP playing over a speaker in the show itself as if that’s a Christmas song.

Oh cool, I didn't notice that little detail.

Okay, so the dub didn’t even try to localize this joke at all. tbf it’s not something I would’ve gotten without the TL note in the fansub I’m watching, though.

Funny thing is, the dub upload I watched had translator notes. Best of both worlds! The video I was watching before got taken down and I had to find a new one today, but this one is actually better so it's all good. Even managed to see the balloon popping/cotton candy yeti scene that was missing from the last video dubbed.

I remember you commenting about that previously, glad you actually got to see the scene in full!

First timer, subbed:

Of the two... I think I preferred the first skit? Neither of them felt especially great, but I think it's because the formula is starting to wear thin and there's not much it's evolving or iterating on? Or maybe it didn't go far enough, and he didn't do as anything as absurd or as ridiculous as the whole "eating rice in class to help a bird out" thing. More absurdity!

1) What song would you sing for karaoke?

Either something from a musical if it were available (probably Les Miserables, I'd be terrible for a karaoke night... Hamilton or The Greatest Showman would also be considerations) or... I dunno, the Rainbow Connection? Somewhere Out There?

2) How funny was Sakamoto's solution to "training" Hayabusa on fine dining?

Decently funny, but again, I kinda wish that they had committed further to the bit to make it even more absurd. Not really sure how though...

Haven't You Heard? I'm A First-Time Viewer

This was a really nice episode. The first half with Sakamoto attending a mixer on a whim (and kind of unaware) only to win over all the girls was funny. I figured he would be a good singer, in line with his cool persona, but German opera was a surprise, and very classy.

The second half with Hayabusa and his family was unexpectedly wholesome. He's not fond of the idea of his dad bringing a new mother figure into the house, but he's still willing to try and make sure this goes well if that's what his dad and brothers need. (His little bros are adorable, by the way.) It's a shame the whole thing was just a scam. The comedic twist of Hayabusa and Sakamoto swapping places again in the end worked well, even though I do wonder how oblivious everyone had to be to not notice it was two guys under that jacket. Sakamoto's hands trying to feed escargot to a reluctant Hayabusa was great, like his body was at war with his mind.

Questions of the Day:

1) Something easy and short.

2) He gets points for comedy, but it wasn't very believable.
