Well, Break continues to remind me why I don't like him, which is the only nice thing he has done so far...
So some legal contractors don't physically age? I guess that means the Baskervilles must have a legal method like Pandora, if Zwei is still a child after a decade.
If Break is going to die in less than a year, I wonder how old he is? I can't imagine people would legally contract with Chains if it is going to cut your life span drastically, so I would guess at least mid-60's at minimum - I don't think we've seen any old people yet, or been told anything about life expectancy yet, so it is hard to make a proper guess at that. On the other hand, it could be that he is centuries old... I've forgotten, did they say how long ago that disaster in the first episode took place? Perhaps he is a survivor (or culprit) of it...
So, Pandora thinks the Abyss gives birth to weapons (chains), and the Will is the core. Presumably if they have the core, they can influence/control the Abyss - but why does Pandora need so many weapons? I guess I'm back to my theory of Pandora not being the good guys (because I still can't stand Break as a person, though I am getting a bit more used to him), and probably coming into conflict with Oz in the future. Break might claim they want the Will to fix the Abyss - I don't believe it in the slightest. Also, the backing music during that part was a really nice track :)
Break calling Oz creepy and a distorted mess is like the pot calling the kettle black and made of metal - I think even the Baskervilles have more right to say that than Break...
Why is Gil surprised that Break disappeared in the cupboard? Either he can travel via shadows (more likely based on him/Sharon watching them from Gil's shadow) or he can travel when unobserved, but surely if Gil has been with Pandora for 10 years he would know that by now?
First movement of the incuse - if it happens this fast, I guess Oz is going to be called back to the Abyss even before Break is expected to die. I guess that is one way to make sure the plot doesn't get dragged out :)
I do agree with Alice though, Oz is definitely a bit twisted and Gil is just as bad - but that just makes them interesting!

Yeah, I don't know for sure but this seems legit.

It's hard to tell, given how he doesn't age.

The Tragedy of Sablier? No they haven't said (yet) how long ago it took place.

pretty much?
I guess I'm back to my theory of Pandora not being the good guys
That would be an interesting twist

Yeah, I think Gil would know this by now, unless he hasn't worked with Sharon and Break as much until recently.
First movement of the incuse - if it happens this fast, I guess Oz is going to be called back to the Abyss even before Break is expected to die. I guess that is one way to make sure the plot doesn't get dragged out :)
FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU-
I do agree with Alice though, Oz is definitely a bit twisted and Gil is just as bad - but that just makes them interesting!

Pandora First-Timer, subbed
Someone said that same stuff to Oz in the past…? Was it his dad? He was pretty absent prior to all this shit going down.
I, too, would react like that if someone slid out from underneath my bed. (Doubly so since it’s not physically possible for someone to fit under my bed…)
Looks like Oz and Gilbert are both keeping secrets from each other, then. Also lol @ Alice trying to eat the flowers in the background.
There Gilbert was trying to stop Alice from talking about parents in front of Oz and this kid talks about how much he loves his own dad.

Seems like the most likely culprit
Hahaha…
I like the comedy in this show!
Bedhead Alice, cute.

Do you remember Lavi pulling that in Romania during the Krory arc? He just waltzed out of a cabinet or something
Huh…
So Sharon is forever 13? That sucks. If I were to stop aging I'd want to reach adulthood first. Can she even legally drink alcohol?
Oh, dang…
Koemushi curse?
Well, that’s why he’s the main character.
Yes
Wait, is Break actually blind or is this just metaphorical?
I'd have to look and see how my subs translated it. But no, he's not blind ... [PH anime later]but he is missing his left eye.
Damn he can really be creepy when he wants to.
He reminds me a little of Kakashi.
Looks like Oz and Gilbert are both keeping secrets from each other, then. Also lol @ Alice trying to eat the flowers in the background.
YUP
Ah, Oz does have parental issues.
Man I love Alice.
Damn, Oz.
That's one way to get expelled?
There Gilbert was trying to stop Alice from talking about parents in front of Oz and this kid talks about how much he loves his own dad.

Looks like Alice really doesn't like Break monitoring her. "Grrr"
Hey even if it doesn't make her live longer, at least Shanon gets to stay cute for the runtime of her life.
I love Alice trying to eat the rose.

I know how Sharon looks at 13 since I can see her in this episode so I stand by that. I don't know how you looked at that age. So maybe you'd want to be a bit older and that would make sense.

First-time
Finally, we are in the capital city, a good change oof environment for once after the countryside most of the time. Even though it's just the outskirts. I thought it would be a good chill, peaceful SoL episode, looks like it isn't. We got more exposition on worldbuilding though.
Finally we got answers on how Break and Sharon still not aged a bit. The answer is because they are legal contractors, which not only they have no visible mark on body, but also able to stop any kind of physical aging. This is no true immortality, since they are aging inside and not prolong their lifespan at all. Even though it is a side effect that is not 100% guarantted to appear for everyone, but these two were quite lucky with that. I wonder how tis applies to Zwei as well. Break might be really old, but he still want to live the day when the Will of the Abyss is captured and researched by mankind.
Whatever the thing with this other white-haired girl, she must be connected to the other Alice, or maybe she is the other Rabbit Chain. I think it was the cause for how the clock on the contract of Oz has moved for the first time. Speaking of him, his family is a sensitive subject that he is not willing to talk about.
Whether Alice is a former human or a Chain, parents and family are a concept that seems foreign to her, but might connected to her past memories.
1) Is Oz twisted, like Break says?
He is.
2) How would you react if your mom was dead and dad hated you?
Can't say, since I didn't grow up in that way.
3) Thoughts on Break having less than a year left?
He must be really old, but doesn't behave like a typical old man.

Yup, Reveille.
Finally we got answers on how Break and Sharon still not aged a bit. Yeah ... I wouldn't want to be forever 13 though! I wonder how old Sharon was when she Contracted.
I wonder how tis applies to Zwei as well
Hmm ... I wonder too!
Break might be really old, but he still want to live the day when the Will of the Abyss is captured and researched by mankind.
How can one capture the Intention of the Abyss if she's literally in the deepest depths of Abyss? I wonder what it means to "obtain" her ...
Whatever the thing with this other white-haired girl, she must be connected to the other Alice, or maybe she is the other Rabbit Chain
Whether Alice is a former human or a Chain, parents and family are a concept that seems foreign to her, but might connected to her past memories.
We'll see! Hopefully we get to see more of her memories soon.
He must be really old, but doesn't behave like a typical old man.

- Break doesn't understand Baskerville's actions?
- control all the Abyss? Oz can?
- Break calls Oz creepy and distorted?
- Break entering and leaving like that reminds me of Lavi doing something similar in DGM?
- Ominous cello music??
- A girl in blue left flowers for Oz?
- Vincent Nightray?
- Alice was eating the flowers? LOL
- Gil has some stuff he hasn't told Oz yet?

- Those bullies in the alley are vicious!
- ... Oz has an axe?

First Timer
ep 8
Question
This is hilarious, how Oz keeps refusing to be a shounen protagonist.
So, what Oz and Alice have in common is an absence of parents.
Pandora is the Military-Industrial complex that wants to manufacture Chains.
This town looks like the Not-Florence from the opening scene.
