Hi I’m currently with my boyfriend and have lent him about $8000. He dealt with some gambling issues and had his bank account get shut down due to constantly being in the negatives. That being said he has completely stopped and is able to save up his money. During that short period of time I was helping him financially and didn’t realize how much I had actually lent him. He has paid me back a couple of times but something always happens where he asks for it back. I kind of want my money back and stopped helping him out financially. Moving forward anytime he gets paid we’ve agreed I’ll help him out with budgeting and paying me back but I’m not sure how well that will work out given our past record. Has anyone every been in a similiar situation?
