A shower thought on 007's pre-planning

I was thinking about From Russia with Love when 007 infiltrates the Soviet consulate to exfiltrate Tatiana. When she says "I thought it was for tomorrow, as today is the thirteenth, isn't it?"

I always assumed this was to make sure Tatiana wasn't setting a trap for 007 and he had done extra work in making sure it was a day earlier than what she was told.

Are there other instances of this in the books or films where there's a subtle nod to 007 or MI6 doing more work behind the scenes than is shown?

For a future movie, I would love for James Bond to go up against an Anton Chigur-like villain.

In No Country for Old Men, Anton Chigurh is depicted as an unstoppable force of nature.

Imagine Bond going up against a villain who’s seemingly invincible-no matter what he does, the villain always keeps coming at him. Like, picture Bond using his elite striking and grappling skills to take the villain down, only for this villain to seemingly counter his every move, and Bond would get bloodied and injured.

And this would horrify 007 - he’s faced enemies and defeated them through sheer intelligence and resilience and strength. But this villain, he’s like Grim Reaper in human form.

How can 007 defeat this unstoppable force of nature? He uses his detective skills and the help of Q branch to figure out this villain’s weaknesses so he can take him down

And when Bond faces this villain in a final battle, he uses resourcefulness, his elite striking and grappling skills, and Q branch technology to defeat the monster.

Anyone else think that the series would be at better place if they had tried re-booting the franchise at the level they did in craig era?

Casino Royale 2006 was perfect refresh, you see some past of your hero, by the end the character bond is 'rebooted'. But I think the next movies till the last one are just atrocious on the franchise.

Too much loosing to what makes it different from others and WHY/What is Bond.

I think like CR2006, in Quantum of Solace they should have refreshed-rebooted the 'franchise' bond , of how James uses quirks to get by his missions, and it should have explored 'the bitch is dead, lesson learned' conclusion, as this movie taunts him, weather james really can not fall in love again. Instead of still whining about vesper. It should have been Camille Mantis/Olga character who should have been thron in his moral compass.

And this movie should have refreshed the various tropes, tropes of kinds of bond-girls, like Camille the lasting girl, Strawberry the one night stand, Veanue as henchwoman to Greene. Brining John Cleese Q, and A new moneypenny, maybe young naomie harris, who is just deskworker. Complete uses of goldeneye like gunbarrel at begining, bond-theme throughout, no good about goodbye as end title song.

I like Dominac Greenes, as he is realistic and have prototype similar plans to that of now-classic villains. But it should have been more eloborated. That loacal military cheif should have been used more prominantly and his soldiers as troops for greene's lair.

It should have been a smoking factor as base of villain. Should have show giant hydrolics and dams as villain's aspirations. And prooving bond hero when water enters the village finally. In the end he should slept with camille, also Veanue but more roughly.

Then in Skyfall, it should have made cleared that lot time have passed between two movies, and Bond have gone on many missions(older movies), as current time/events have always been just setting to tell the story. There could have been a short scene of OLD DUSTY FILES of dr no, arkangel, zorin, thunderball etc. OR AND any official profile of Bond showing he was married once.

And then the movie focuses on keeping the promise of Severine, less personel connection with M and 'Old Man'.

Then in Spectre 2015, it should have been just stated that he have fought this organization, it have fallen, and IT HASN'T in the end.

How you like to think of Jame Bond movie franchise? What you seek from it?

I like the unsaid immortal feel and a forever friend from it. I like the way he looks and behave. In the world filled and ruled by submission and domination. While his villain try to dominate for same things he submits. He kneels for some authority to get his selfish delight on the way and thrill.

Variety and Vast number of girls, foods, clothes, places, cars(vechiels), people, weapons, knowledge, livilyhood etc. are mesmerized. And 007 walks over all of them.

The unique formula and standard, which all seem to more and more eroding and destroting.

What you think?

Daniel Craig with Solitare or Dr Goodhead (Desecpting Jane, Having fun with Chiles)

Roger Moore with Swann or Xenia (The contrast between Lea and Famke, both balanced by moore)

Timothy Dalton with Severine or Octopussy (Him saving her, and going in the palce with Maud)

George Lazenby with Xenia (Well why not? she is real test)

Sean Connery with Vesper (Getting his 'heart' broken among other things)

Pierce Brosnan biting Volpe ("You brute").

ALSO you can add other actress who have never been in a bond movie.

Do you think Dalton or Brosnan would be acceptable as M or Q?

Now what if there's a substitute M just for a film, or Q for that matter. Since Amazon is at the helm now I really hope they don't pull a Dr Doom, if you know what I mean, and bring one of the former actors in as a "bad guy" due to the next Avengers potential success ( recalling the script of Skyfall character similarity with Dark Knight ) , so I rather prefer the former option if they actually do bring one or both actors back.
