I've got 99 strength and I doubt that Cabin Boy Jenkins does, how come he can carry 2 crates and I can't?

If you own and can equip a toxic blowpipe, it's something that should be in your short-term goals.

4

u/marshmallow049 Apr 28 '26

I would say at like 85 you should be more than capable of sending it

3

u/dohalot Bad screenshotting is a crime. Apr 28 '26

Most ppl just meme about not having the fcape honestly. But if you want to challenge yourself and learn more, defo worth to send fight cave runs.

2

u/meirionh Apr 28 '26

I'd hop into leagues if I was you while you still have time and just concentrate on doing Jad a few times. Leagues helps speed up the long build up that normally is what puts people off doing fight caves in main game, and then you can just concentrate on learning Jad's moves, and how to deal with healers. It's obviously easier than main game but will give you that initial experience

2

u/SgtMcMuffin0 Apr 28 '26

Imo once you hit 75 ranged and a blowpipe you should just go for it. It’s not going to get significantly easier at 80 or 85 or 90 ranged. Just go in with a blowpipe with addy/rune darts and like 50 dragon darts to switch to before Jad.

70ish prayer can help too. If you go in at 43 you might have to do some prayer flicking to make your prayer pots last the whole time

2

u/katsuku Apr 28 '26

People that didn't take transmute relic, what are you doing for prayer?

Transmute bones, Endless Harvest (bone shards, and Soul Harvest are the main ways. If you have wilderness I guess you bring loads of noted bones to chaos altar once you have the max XP multiplier.

Is there a way to obtain the ring of shadows withOUT Desert (Leagues)?

1

u/Wilm_Sub Apr 28 '26

talk to the NPC in the vault, the quest is autocompleted so you get it for free

1

u/schildmanbijter Apr 28 '26

Seems to require Asgarnia (https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Camdozaal_Vault)?; I have Fremmenik and Wildy.

1

u/Wilm_Sub Apr 28 '26

1

u/schildmanbijter Apr 28 '26

I see now I mistyped I meant WITHOUT desert. Sorry but it seems not then.

1

u/Wilm_Sub Apr 28 '26

Ohhh nope, sorry. gotta have desert.

1

u/klawehtgod Cabbage Picking Apr 28 '26

Yeah, you have Desert Treasure II autocompleted, so just buy it from the same guy that sells it in the main game.

2

u/schildmanbijter Apr 28 '26

I mistyped sorry; I meant without

1

u/klawehtgod Cabbage Picking Apr 28 '26

Yeah, I kind of figured but didn’t want to assume. The answer is you cannot get it.

1

u/skullkid2424 Apr 28 '26

I don't have desert, but can you buy one from the bandit in the vault?

1

u/schildmanbijter Apr 28 '26

I meant without; did you buy it?

1

u/skullkid2424 Apr 28 '26

Ah, no - as far as I know its only available from the vault. Perhaps if your regions include DT2 completion and perdu, then perdu is worth checking?

2

u/Mbrannon42 Buying Spoons Apr 28 '26

How do the accuracy pacts work? Does +100% accuracy mean I will never miss, or does it double my current accuracy bonus from gear? Right now I'm 1t staff with prayer pen but thinking about adding some thorns and tank gear. Will I waffle my attacks if I have a high accuracy bonus from relics, but negative magic attack bonus from gear?

2

u/klawehtgod Cabbage Picking Apr 28 '26

It’s plus 100 percent, not plus 100 percentage points. +100% means your accuracy is doubled. +200% would mean it’s tripled.

1

u/skullkid2424 Apr 28 '26

does it double my current accuracy bonus from gear?

This one. Not sure how it works with negative magic attack though.

1

u/folklore_froggo Apr 27 '26

Are you supposed to keep your Awakener's Orb in Leagues? Walked into Vardorvis thinking I'd keep the orb, got one shotted instantly, and now it doesn't seem to be anywhere?

5

u/SendMeSushiPics Apr 27 '26

Its like an entrance ticket that gets used up each time.

5

u/folklore_froggo Apr 28 '26

Dang, that's steep. Glad the echo orbs don't work the same way

1

u/Grlions91 Apr 28 '26

They have a 1/10 drop rate. Run 100 kc of a boss and you'll stack em up very quickly. Leviathan takes like 25 seconds to kill with crossbow build. Vard goes really quick when you have minion.

1

u/abh34567hrdr6a Apr 27 '26

Leagues

KW sitting on my third region pick, any suggestions? Originally I was thinking T but don't want to spend forever in the red prison. So far my relics are Endless/Woodsman/EE/Transmute/Larc/Culling/Butler.

2

u/on-a-call Apr 28 '26

With 1t 100% pray pen build, echo kill takes 1 min ish.

I went dry and it took me 3 hours to complete at 111kc.

0

u/Violatic Apr 28 '26

Given its a 1/80 that's not even 1.5x dry

Not saying it isn't quick and easy, but broadly you were just "on rate" rather than dry

2

u/on-a-call Apr 28 '26

Yeah, so already like more unlucky than 60-70% of people.

1

u/andremeda Apr 28 '26

Do you plan on raiding or want a mega rare? Should consider picking up one of the raid regions. Desert also gives you masori which does buff range str for your BBC

T is good for crystal armour and the echo blessing buffs your mage set up from Kandarin. Most people will not go super dry at CG and the kills are very fast since theres no prep. Worthwhile respeccing to 1t staff build and 75 or 100% prayer penetration to speed up kills. This build is also good to breeze through demonics gorillas.

FYI not sure what t8 relic you ate planning, but if you take minion as T8 just know that the minion does spawn in CG howecerr you need to manually spec the boss every 25% health for minion to do anything. Sometimes its better not to spec at all since you give up so many staff hits. IMO flask is a better pick here and will speed up the echo CG grind

1

u/klawehtgod Cabbage Picking Apr 28 '26

Definitely recommend finding a Raid. Also recommend looking at the Tasks that give Pact Points for each region. Some are a LOT easier than others.

1

u/Tyrious Apr 27 '26

So I'm running the 1T staff thorns build on league, currently sitting with Trident of the swamp, fire cape, crystal shield, armor and blessing, mystic boots, imbued ring of suffering with recoils in and combat bracelet.

Outside of the inferno cape, confliction gauntlets and the shield with the dragonic visage, what armor set should I be working towards next?

My zones are K / T / M - so I'm guessing barrows then justicar?

Also what boots should I be looking for? I'm so god damn clueless lol

2

u/Laifus23 Apr 28 '26

If you’re sticking with 1 tick staves then crystal armor with crystal blessing would be best since it buffs your accuracy and damage. If you wanted to be tankier then I would just swap the helm but not much else as you’ll do less dps.

For boots, echo boots and avernic treads are the two options.

For your cape, ardy cloak has decent mage bonus.

2

u/Tyrious Apr 28 '26

Hmm, I'm also debating going air mage with the echo thermy items. I've not even been playing the game for a month yet, I have no idea about prayer items.

What would you recommend?

1

u/OlmTheSnek Apr 28 '26 edited Apr 28 '26

Complete bis for KTM prayer mage is basically

Head: Sunfire fanatic > god mitres

Neck: God stoles > unholy symbol

Cape: Ardy cloak (the higher tier the better)

Blessing: Crystal blessing > Clue blessing

Top: Virtus top (if you have max rest of the gear) > God robe top > Sunfire fanatic (top has a lot of negative magic accuracy)

Bottom: Sunfire fanatic > God robe bottoms

Boots: Echo boots > Holy sandals

Gloves: Confliction gauntlets > Regen bracelet > Combat bracelet

Ring: Suffering

TLDR Clue gear carries til endgame where you want sunfire fanatic+virtus top ideally. Aim for 50 prayer bonus as main goal but try not to sacrifice too much accuracy for it.

1

u/Tyrious Apr 28 '26

Would tormented bracers not be above regen bracelet?

1

u/OlmTheSnek Apr 28 '26

True, didn't think about that as I just went from regen to conflictions.

1

u/SgtMcMuffin0 Apr 28 '26

Air mage is crazy with Kandarin echos, highly recommend trying it out. I attack every 2 ticks, max hit on every successful hit, and I max like 104.

Need 50 prayer for 100% max hit rate, I got that with full sunfire fanatic, echo boots, tormented, suffering, occult, crystal blessing, and ardy cloak 4. A stole in the neck slot (from hard clues), vestement robes in helm/body/legs/cloak (from various clue tiers) are also viable prayer gear.

1

u/Tyrious Apr 28 '26

Do you have a link to a build at all? One thing I'm struggling with coming to this game is finding creators to follow etc.

I'll see a build video on YouTube to watch, go check it out and its some dude running around doing tasks instead of showing the build

1

u/SgtMcMuffin0 Apr 28 '26

I don't have a link, but basically just get the air capstone and all the prayer gear I mentioned. Worse prayer gear will still be strong but you need 50 prayer bonus to get 100% max hit rate.

u/CrowdGoesMild Apr 28 '26

Are pet drops boosted in Leagues?

2

u/[deleted] Apr 28 '26

[deleted]

3

u/FerrousMarim Muling is cringe. Let Hardcore Mains keep bank. Apr 28 '26

With the significant exception of the sire pet, because unsired drops are boosted, effectively boosting the rate of the pet as well.

2

u/klawehtgod Cabbage Picking Apr 28 '26

That is significant.

Wouldn’t flow state also functionally increase the pet rates for mining, fishing and woodcutting, since you’re now performing more actions per hour? And farming pet is 5x faster since plants grow 5x faster too.

2

u/SgtMcMuffin0 Apr 28 '26

No, but for skilling pets it’s a lot easier to get 200m xp at which point you get 15x pet rates. I afked 200m thieving at elves over a couple evenings then stayed for like 20 more minutes and got Rocky

u/Fucking_Peristeronic Apr 28 '26

First time playing leagues somewhat seriously, what would be a good third region to pick? I’m probably gonna be going for a powered staff + thorns build, and I have Kandarin + Tirannwn so far. I’m thinking most likely a raids region, but other than that I’m pretty lost on what to pick. I’m pretty bad at pvm, all I’ve done on the main game so far is fire cape, barrows, and vorkath. I’m at t6 so far (endless harvest, friendly forager, evil eye, transmute, larcenist, culling spree) and very close to t7 (thinking reload into eternal sustenance but still undecided). Thanks!

1

u/skullkid2424 Apr 28 '26

The third region should probably be based on content you want to do. Mory to learn ToB with groups. Desert for ToA (solo or groups). Zeah for CoX (solo or groups). Or whichever region has bosses that interest you.

0

u/NessaMagick I happen to have all of those items on me right now! Apr 28 '26

Desert gives you shadow and by far the most approachable, easy and soloable raid in the game. It's also the raid shadow comes from which feels right.

Morytania is also pretty good, mostly for the lithic scepter. It has easier tasks, particularly pact tasks, and a more group-orientated raid.

Leagues

How are people doing the Thermy Spec'd out combat achievement in Leagues 6? It's the one where you kill it only with spec damage, but since it's an instance now you can't tele out to recharge spec anymore. If you don't have points in spec regen it seems impossible

2

u/OlmTheSnek Apr 28 '26

DDS'd it a few times with light melee, died in 3 specs i think

You could also maybe just straight up stand there tanking damage while waiting for spec to recharge, if your build has any level of sustain you can heal off the other smoke devils in the room.

1

u/ghosteagle Apr 28 '26

How are drop rates affected in Leagues? I just got a dragon defender with only 61 kills starting from nothing, which should be basically impossible and I'm curious

1

u/Sebaku Apr 28 '26

Generally, assuming you've taken your 4th relic, all noteworthy drops are 5 times more likely to drop.

All drops that have increased droprate can be found here: https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Demonic_Pacts_League/Boosted_drops

does anyone know the average experience per essence at ZMI altar? i'm trying to figure out how many soul shards to save up to knock out 50m RC in one big shot, and i have to imagine it's just the number of pure essence that would take divided by 16

1

u/mukkor Apr 28 '26

It's level dependent. There's a chart of xp per ess by level on https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Ourania_Altar.

Since the vast majority of your ess is crafted at the higher levels, about 210,000 shards should be enough.

1

u/mister_peeberz still awaiting Mining 2 Apr 28 '26

thanks, i dont know how i missed that chart since it was exactly what i was looking for and i was on that article. i wound up on the xp/hr chart and wrote off the whole thing, whoops.

and yes, i also should have clarified that i am already 99. so for anyone else wondering, 99 RC to 50M RC at ZMI altar 16x is about 150,000 shards

For the gauntlet kc tasks in leagues. Is echo cg counted there? I can't stand the prep each time. It sucks hunting for the dragon

1

u/Sebaku Apr 28 '26

Yes, echo cg is counted.

1

u/there_is_no_try Apr 28 '26

Any advice for tier 8 relics? I'm between Minion and Flask. Both seem good, Minion seems more consistent, where Flask seems to be burst and highly variable, mostly good in multi-combat. Any other things to consider?

1

u/Sebaku Apr 28 '26

I took flask so I was able to cheese things like radiant oathplate, awakened vard and hard combat achievements where you're not allowed to get hit. I mainly use it as an "I need invuln right now" button. I'm bad at pvm in general and flask has let me achieve things I would have never achieved without it.

Minion is definitely more consistent dps. Flask damage doesn't fully work on olm, whereas Minion has no issues with that afaik. I think the only place Flask would out-DPS Minion is in echo CG, because your cd gets reset every kill. Minion also really nice for things like farming for visage or dragon full helm, as you can literally afk, as the minion will pick up the drop.

1

u/there_is_no_try Apr 28 '26

Thanks for your reply! I am currently specced into Water Thorns mage, with overheal. So I'm worried the flask is either overkill (I'm pretty safe) or doesn't fully take advantage of the overheal.

Minion might be my choice.... I've already finished echo CG luckily. Thanks again!

1

u/Fuck-College Apr 28 '26

So I unlocked 16x XP within leagues and I'm trying to figure out which skill will be easier to get to 200m XP with only Varlamore unlocked.

Mining, currently at 86m XP or woodcutting, currently at 45m XP. I was thinking teak XP rates might actually shoot way past mining to 200 mil?

1

u/klawehtgod Cabbage Picking Apr 28 '26

Well if you have larcenist, Thieving the gem stall is 200M in ten hours. That’s the easiest non-combat 200M. Mining might be a good idea just because if you don’t have Soul Harvest you can be mining Bone Shards when you’re AFK for prayer. But to compare rates, you can just look at the wiki’s information for the main game. If the non-tick manipulation rate is better for one activity in the main game, it’s better in Leagues too.

1

u/SgtMcMuffin0 Apr 28 '26

If you have endless harvest and are full afk I think mining iron will be a faster 200m than teaks. From the wiki it looks like in the main game teaks are about 90k/hr while iron is about 80k.(edit: teaks probably better)

You could just do each one for like 10 minutes, see what xp rates you’re getting, and work out how long each skill would take.

Edit: did some math, just multiplied those xp rates by 32 (since double resources from EH). Mining to 200m is about 60 hours, woodcutting is about 40 hours.

Does the tome of water count as a shield for pacts? I'm water thorns and wondering if it's just an off-hand or a one-handed shield. I assume, due to the fact on one of the pacts it specifically says "off-hand", that the tome isn't a shield, but just wondering if there's a list anywhere etc

1

u/CCAugnator Apr 28 '26

I'm planning on picking Wildy as an area in Leagues and a site is saying that it helps solve Runecrafting. Does anyone know if there is an easy teleport that makes Wildy so good at it? Perhaps I'm forgetting something obvious but I can't see how it helps

2

u/Wilm_Sub Apr 28 '26

larran's chest drops rune essence in huge quantities

1

u/CCAugnator Apr 28 '26

That's true. Fortunately I have transmute so that aspect shouldn't be a problem for me. I was wondering if maybe something like Ferox > Chaos Altar was something that other Wildy pickers have been doing

2

u/Wilm_Sub Apr 28 '26

nah it's awful to have to navigate your way from surface to the altar itself without a more direct tp. i'm a wildy picker and have decided to use my other regions and relics to train runecraft

1

u/CCAugnator Apr 28 '26

Oh dear that's not good news, but thanks very much for letting me know! :)

2

u/klawehtgod Cabbage Picking Apr 28 '26

Maybe they want you to use the Abyss to teleport to the altars?

2

u/CCAugnator Apr 28 '26

I was thinking that! But I'm not sure how convenient it would be to access, like what is the closest teleport to the Abyss? Was hoping that someone in Wildy would say

2

u/klawehtgod Cabbage Picking Apr 28 '26

Bank Heist and run from Ferox is surely the closest. Idk how fast it would be though.

1

u/CCAugnator Apr 28 '26

That does sound like the best, though unfortunately I am using boss TPs. I'll give it a look around and hopefully its better than it sounds!

3

u/cop_pls why is the fist white but the running man black Apr 28 '26

Ring of Dueling goes to Ferox, you don't need Bank Heist.

1

u/Wilm_Sub Apr 28 '26

I have endless harvest and hotfoot, so any ores i mine will turn into bars. I have maxed mining but still need to work on smithing. Is it better exp/hr to mine rune and then use the bars up manually, or mine something lower/faster that can give me faster exp with just making the bars?

1

u/Even_Position1176 Apr 28 '26

I don't have the relics to test this myself but i think mining steel bars from iron rocks will be faster - try reseting your xp tracker and track like 15 minutes on each. When you say maxed mining, is that 99 or 50m xp?

1

u/Wilm_Sub Apr 28 '26

99 but the amount of exp i have past that shouldn't affect mining speed, right?

1

u/Even_Position1176 Apr 28 '26

No, i was only asking because you get tasks for 25m, 35m and 50m xp for non-combat skills. So it is beneficial to continue doing iron for more mining xp.

I was thinking if you are over 50m mining and you only want smithing xp that might make it worthwhile to try getting ores/bars without mining - either from a shop or pvm drops or something

1

u/Wilm_Sub Apr 28 '26

Ah I see what youre saying, but i'm wanting to do the mining method mostly to afk at work

1

u/Chemical-Drag-5346 Apr 28 '26

Could anyone tell me why it's say "You can't cast that spell yet!" when trying to tele grab on demonic pacts? I have 92 magic and the runes in inventory

2

u/Mistflame Apr 28 '26

Actively transmuting makes some non-combat spells rather difficult to cast. You can either try spam clicking the spell you want or cancel your transmute first

1

u/Yuzuriha Apr 28 '26

Need a little hand holding regarding league.

I finished this https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Guide:Demonic_Pacts_Felkrane_Starter_Route today and could use some advice onto next step or another guide to follow. My goal is to get as many point and trophies as possible.

1

u/Sebaku Apr 28 '26

What I did to figure out which tasks to do next was going to the wiki tasks page, enter my name, filter out tasks I've already done, and sort by completion so it shows the most completed tasks on top. While I was afking something in the game, I would write down tasks I could easily complete, and formulate a plan from there.

https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Demonic_Pacts_League/Tasks

Which relics have you picked so far?

1

u/Yuzuriha Apr 28 '26

Endless Harvest -> Hot Foot -> Alarcity -> Transmute -> Larcenist ->

2

u/Sebaku Apr 28 '26

Just play towards your relic's strengths, use Larcenist for all high level thieving tasks, transmute iron ore to rune ore, and sell it to the Mistrock Mining Supplies, for easy gil, and do the gil/tokkul tasks. Obviously EH/HF for the high-level mining/wc/fish/cook/smith tasks. The faster you unlock the x16 xp rate, the faster your progress in general will be.

1

u/Yuzuriha Apr 30 '26

Thanks, at my third region unlock now. Looking like its Elves

1

u/SgtMcMuffin0 Apr 28 '26

Is air mage with Kandarin echos and 50 prayer bonus the highest possible dps in the league? Excluding inconsistent things like lucky blind bag procs.

1

u/errorme Apr 28 '26

IDK how they compare but it's either air mage or wildy crossbow for best consistent DPS.

1

u/quizzer106 Apr 28 '26

Air mage is best by far.

1

u/The_Salty_Pearl Apr 28 '26

Leagues - Im trying to do Cox, but im not getting a whole lot of points. What exactly should i be doing to maximize my unique chances?

1

u/skullkid2424 Apr 28 '26

I've got my alt afking in leagues with endless harvest. What would be the best option for the rock golem? Gem rocks are good in the main game, but would the sheer speed of iron overtake it?

1

u/marshmallow049 Apr 28 '26

Why no pet roll for harvesting crystal extractor?

1

u/Drsmiley72 Apr 28 '26

Leagues, need devil's advocates to see if I'm missing something for my T7 relic.

I'm WKZ, crossbow pacts, Barb/Forager/Eye/Transmute/Larcenist/Grimoire. I want to go Flow State for T7. The way I see it, it helps a lot with Mining (2t stars/calcified deposits), WC (2t redwoods), Fishing (2t sharks), 2t Cooking, 2t Fletching, 2t Firemaking as well as Wintertodt tasks, even faster Prayer with transmute/chaos altar, 2t Smithing (bankstand with 2t superheat), 2t Crafting. It also helps Farming a little and makes Zeah RC much faster, since I'd get to 2t chisel the essence blocks.

Friends have suggested Soul Harvest to solve RC/Prayer and Eternal Sustenance since I don't have sustain. I'll eventually get water magic pacts, so I don't think I'm too fussed over Eternal Sustenance. Soul Harvest seems OK but Flow State just has better value I think.

Am I missing anything here? I don't know what I don't know.

How do you figure that as a 9.6% chance?

3

u/klawehtgod Cabbage Picking Apr 28 '26

1/50 five times and missing every time is the same as 49/50 five times. (49/50)^5= 90.4. 100-90.4=9.6.

1

u/klawehtgod Cabbage Picking Apr 28 '26

Technically, it’s neither. They’re multiplying the decimal odds by 5, and then rounding to the closest integer denominator that fits a 1/X form. Practically, it’s not different from multiplying the numerator, but with rounding sometimes it’s off by a percent or so.

Ex: 1/56 base drop rate becomes 1/11, which is not equal to 5/56, but 5/55 is close to 5/56 that you’d never notice in-game.

1

u/fishinexcess Apr 28 '26

I've killed huey and normal fight cave jad already.

You can kill a demonic gorilla and a mith dragon for quick pact points. Otherwise you're just going to have to slayer like crazy to get to the rest of the Kandarin tasks. Luckily they're easy.

Your only other real options are to just keep grinding tasks to unlock other regions. You barely need to do combat to get enough points for another region.

It's hard to suggest builds without knowing what you have, but this water mage build will be good enough for most content for a while. Alternatively you could do a <1kg basic melee build, but I really don't think you need to switch much to get a build online unless you're really struggling.

I have a "metal dragon" slayer task. If I block it, will it block iron/steel dragon tasks as well?

Iron and steel dragon tasks don't exist anymore, they've all been combined with the other metal dragons into 1 metal dragon task. So indirectly, yes.

what is the best way to quickly narrow down a master hot/cold step with the strange device? usually i walk in a little triangle to narrow the options down and then teleport away. is there a better way to do it while using the device as little as possible?

Using runelite will automatically narrow down options.

If doing it blind, make good use of the world map and whatever teleports you have available. I'd probably start with an ardy teleport or ardy diary cape teleport. Take a couple steps east (or west) and try again to see if hotter or colder. Maybe check North/South. Teleport appropriately.

There's a plugin for this on plugin hub. Coxie mentioned it in his last video. I forget the name though
