Shitpost European VS US Inovation
Since so many anti-EU people have compared Tesla's PR stunt to permanently attached bottle caps, I've created a few pro-European versions of this meme here

Don't diss the MK1 fiesta.
Which btw is a European car design. It was built in Spain and the UK. After a while they started building them in Germany as well.

European innovations: Computers, electric motors, steam engines, vaccines, clocks, radio, jet engines, the industrial motherfucking revolution.
American innovations: Microwaving tea.

I hate to do it, but I have to command the savages on this one since it pisses you off.

Serious question, I microwave the water for my tea … why is that bad? My Swedish partner dies inside when I do so but i legitimately taste no difference?

As much as I’m tired of all the EU-bashing on Reddit, I have to say that this is a little cringe… I mean come on…

This plus the lava lamp.
No other inventions are necessary in life.

u/Dependent_One6034 Barry, 63 5h ago
Fun fact: Lava lamps are used to produce random numbers for security encryption in computers.
Computers aren't good at generating random numbers, because random doesn't really compute.... It either is or isn't.
Yes, you can get random generators online, but they aren't "random". Ever listen to a music playlist on random and hear the same song multiple times before you hear the whole list? Same thing.

Sounds pretty random.

This feels more like cope then a good rebuttal. For example, on the third side the "European Flying Car" just looks like a Helicopter. And it is funny in one slide you imply the Tesla is great because it had European suppliers, and then you denigrate the same car in other slides. Also, trying to unironically praise the stuck on bottle cap is funny. Lastly, we in America invented the airplane, not you guys. I would commend it more if it was less like cope.

The bottle cap staying there looks terrible until you feel the pleasure of not having to make sure you don't lose the cap.

u/Overtilted Flemboy 3h ago
I like it. Not the first version, but the caps now: i digg it.
And yes there's less pollution because of it.

American healthcare innovation: Circumcision device.

So, posting on Reddit, using the internet, powered by satellite networks, from a country in NATO, using a dialect of English, and the Americans don’t have any quality innovations? See the above list!

It was annoying when they first came out and would just poke into your face no matter how you oriented it, but pretty much everybody has refined the design so that it folds back properly. I don't see what the issue is anymore.

You just have to cut it down if you don't want it. For the ones who like it (like me) it's just as it is. Where is the fk problem unless in your brains?

Honestly it is also annoying to drink from many bottles for me. Would be nice to have products with and without instead of enforcing it. Most of us recycle anyway and there are more important things to worry about.

Where is the issue with cutting the cap's link? Unless with the "poppin" ones...
3
u/cr2pns Oppressor 11h ago
Takes time and for some bottles is quite thick if I dont have scissors. Why create a problem when there is none? If only for the PR, it has been a horrible enforcement

Or you could grow another braincell and figure it out. It's been years.

Bottles really are fine, I draw the line at juiceboxes. Trying to pour out of one without ripping the cap off is asking to have the juice all over the table when the cap inadvertently flips over right into the flow.

u/SignAllStrength Flemboy 11h ago
I used to be able to open a new bottle with one hand while driving, drink from it, close it and put it away without spilling a drop. Nowadays it’s not possible anymore without spilling on myself and my car. The EU has taken that superpower away from me.
1
u/BarBryzze Savage Slayer 10h ago
How? How did you lose that ability? I never had the issue of not being able to drink without spilling because of a bottlecap. You people worry and fascinate me.
1
u/SignAllStrength Flemboy 10h ago
With one hand only, without using your other hand at any moment? Try it, it’s more difficult than it sounds.
2
u/Entgegnerz South Prussian 12h ago
there is no difference in drinking from the bottle.
You're not supposed to dump the whole bottleneck inclusive the cap into your maw, you're supposed to use your pursed lips.

Is the idiot test on the bottle caps that people kept losing their cap before? I never had that problem thankfully

We have done that for centuries, realised is not worth it, maximising siesta now. Thanks for the innovations savages.

I hate the fucking cap thing. Always taking them off. Also hate how small they are, almost no surface to grab them. Total bullshit where some bureaucrats earned money.

That would be a great post for [r/USvsEU](r/USvsEU) where all the other yank-centered posts made by yank-brained Europeans should stay as well
