Happy #303day! I've been working hard on this extensive update of my new ACID-Techno site for 10 weeks now. https://acidtechno.mnx2010.nl/#RE-303

With the purchase of the RE-303s & RE-909 last year, I gained a lot of knowledge and wanted to share it, that's why this special #303day update. It's information that's difficult to find online, but you'll need it if you ever decide to buy an RE-303s, RE-808, or RE-909.

It was a lot more work than I thought, and sometimes I wished I'd never started. By putting it off again and again, the time finally came to put it online. But it's not actually finished yet; that will come in future updates. But for now, there's plenty of material to dive into, and the software includes plenty of freeware, so you can get started right away!

Topics like 303 software or 303 clones, which I thought wouldn't be too bad, became a lot of work, and the list seems endless. I personally didn't expect this topic to be so extensive. This shows that the 303 is still underappreciated by many, because there's actually a lot of attention paid to it. The clone list is also long, and I've left out hardware with digital sound, such as the new Roland TB-03, which clearly lags behind the true analog TB/RE-303 in terms of sound. In that case, you're better off buying software, which is much cheaper and most likely offers more features.

The following topics are available about the TB/RE-303: Short History, RE-303 (DIY kit), 3 CPU types of RE-303, YT 303 Playlist, My RE-303s, "Rare" Parts, RE-303 Manufactured Links, RE-303 MODs (links), ZiverBox & BlackBox.

I hope everyone enjoys this site as much as I enjoyed creating it. :)

How can a MIDI keyboard help with programming patterns on a TD-3, I’m also looking into getting a drum synthesiser too, but I’m not sure what one is good for beginners.

Happy #909day! RE-909 Pattern 11 (The Revolution 909 MOD upgrade)

Happy #909day!

A year ago, I purchased my RE-909. Now, now a year later, The Revolution 909, an Memory Upgrade and a firmware upgrade.

Yesterday I picked up my RE-909 with a Revolution 909 upgrade MOD on board. Actually, the lack of good sync support was a reason for me to upgrade the RE-303 (4.0) to 5.0 (hardware). But I discovered that there are more handy benefits, such as editing while playing. The new mute function is also really cool. There is also a handy software tool that allows you to save the data from the 909.

I haven't done much with it myself yet, but the possibilities are extensive, as is the number of banks. I must honestly say that it feels good and stable.

Go to my new article on my Acid Techno Site.

The update includes:

The new v5 firmware not only contains fixes and optimizations of the original versions 1 and 4, but new features have also been added! Fixed Sync in & out bugs.

32 Internal Banks instead of 2 and, importantly, the Mute function. It is also possible to edit while the 909 is playing. Also very handy is the 909 Librarian, a Mac/Windows application, which allows you to save the contents of the 909 to your PC/Mac. This program also contains various other functions and settings, and the update tool for new versions. The external MIDI capabilities have also been expanded. And more…

Live acid techno jam with the Elektron Octatrack MKII and Behringer TD-3-MO.

Acid techno is so much more fun when done live! I feel like this is how it should always be created, just vibing with the groove.
