Years ago there was an anime convention and a lot of people were waiting in line. IIRC someone complained about the girls in slutty schoolgirl cosplay and someone said "but I'm a boy". Said person was dubbed linetrap and later became bailey jay.

During the Dubya years, when 4chan was still in it's infancy, a small line formed to meet Moot at a convention he was speaking at.
She was spotted waiting in line, and thus the moniker Linetrap was born since trap was the preferred nomenclature at the time before trains became the preferred term.

If you didn't know her from 4Chan, she was on the Jim Norton Show (she was the lady who introduced guests) and was in the "Last Fuckable Day" episode of Amy Schumer's show. For a minute she popped up in all kinds of odd spots in the 2010s. It helps that she has a likable personality. You could probably throw her in a coffee ad and no one would notice. Come to think of it, she and Katie Morgan were probably the only people in porn you could do that with.

If you're talking the Line Trap days it was like 2008, she wasnt Bailey Jay until like 2012 or so and she was probably the catalyst for "trap threads" on /b/. kek memes were probably a year or two after that.

I don't see why the culture war would have any influence on that. If you aren't a tourist you should know that at least half of the Cambodian birdwatching forum is (gay) porn, including during the apex of culture wars in the late 2010s.

Firstly, Hunter Schaefer has a huge nose and is most definitely not good looking. Has the body of Jack Skellington.
Secondly, Bailey Jay has major male pattern baldness, as do many, many traps, and therefore must always wear a wig, with a shaved head underneath. The curse of not being a genetic female, I would surmise. Looking more like a fat old man every single day.
