Case Study I vibe coded a LinkedIn Automation tool with no Engineering background, and made ~$3.7k in the first 3 months

Last Christmas I was at my parent’s place, pretty bored just watching TV on the couch, and realised I wasn’t really satisfied with my life.

My job wasn’t going anywhere, and I felt like I really had no direction in life.

I had spoken with a friend around that time, who had vibe coded his website for his business, and it looked really cool.

So I spoke with ChatGPT to see what i could possibly build that could be interesting, but done in an innovative way.

As I worked in sales already, it suggested that I lean into my own experience, and build something for my own use case.

I’d been using LinkedIn automation tools to help generate leads, but I kept getting warnings from LinkedIn from the tools I was using, so I wasn’t using them regularly.

So, after a lot of back and forth conversation with AI, I realised that there was a big opportunity to create a tool that was safer than anything else out there;

Every tool I’d been using operated either on the cloud or used plugins - there were almost none that simply operated on your desktop, and this would most likely remove my issue of getting warnings and appear natural to LinkedIn.

So, I decided to build something for myself primarily, in the sales job that I was in - could I build something for myself that would help me generate more leads without risking my account as much?

Turns out, I could.

It definitely wasn’t easy, there was a very steep learning curve in terms of learning how to build something from scratch, not only learning how to build something and make architectural decisions, but building something in a safe, structured way too.

There were tonnes of errors and bugs at first, but I spent a huge amount of time on hardening the tool to ensure that it’s highly unlikely to break, and even if it does, it’s quick/easy to diagnose and implement fixes.

It was a complex build as it’s essentially two code bases - a web dashboard where people can control their campaign settings and messaging sequences, with an inbuilt CRM, unified inbox, analytics etc., along with building the software itself, which automates LinkedIn in a browser on people PC’s.

And not only did I have to build it, but I had to make sure it actually worked. So I used it myself throughout the testing phase.

I made sure that the tool had strict daily limits on actions, randomised delays between connection requests and follow up messages, along with effective messaging, written by Claude Sonnet via API.

And it worked - in my first campaign in my old job, I got a 40% acceptance rate and a 25% response rate.

What I realised along the way though, was that working on the tool itself was much more enjoyable than my sales job, so, I decided to quit my job and go all in on building and working on the tool.

I made it into a business and took a leap of faith.

Now, the tool has had 280 signups to free trials, many of whom converted into paying customers, and so far hovering around $3.7k in revenue since launching in April, completely bootstrapped.

Not a life changing sum yet but the first few months have been very promising, and there’s clearly a demand for a tool that’s safe for LinkedIn accounts and effective at booking meetings.

Anyway, I hope this story inspires people to follow your passions and keep going!

AI Income Idea How I earn money from ChatGPT

Not sponsored, not an affiliate thing, nothing like that. I built a free tool (a scored quiz builder for lead qualification) and it turns out ChatGPT recommends it when people ask about qualifying leads or building quizzes without code.

Some numbers so this isn’t just a vague claim: about a third of my total signups over the last few months came directly from people who found the product through ChatGPT. Most of those are just using the free tier, which is fine, that’s the whole model. But one of them stuck around, kept using it, and about ten days after signing up (found through ChatGPT), upgraded to a paid plan for custom branding and a custom domain.

I never talked to her. No sales call, no DM, no funnel. She asked ChatGPT a question, got pointed at my tool, used it, liked it enough to pay for it.

I didn’t do anything clever to make this happen beyond writing genuinely useful content (blog posts, comparison pages, template pages) and making sure AI crawlers could actually access my site (turns out Cloudflare was silently blocking most of them for a while, fixed that and traffic showed up almost immediately).

It’s not huge money yet. But it’s the first time I’ve seen a completely organic, zero-touch path from “someone asks an AI a question” to “someone pays me,” and it’s made me rethink where I should be spending time versus where I’ve been spending it.

Happy to answer questions if anyone’s curious about the mechanics.

Question How to earn money as an Engineering student I can make gen AI and Agentic AI products also Flutter apps

I’m an engineering student trying to figure out how to turn my technical skills into actual income.

I can build GenAI and Agentic AI products, as well as Flutter apps, but I’m struggling with the business side of things — mainly finding clients, identifying problems worth solving, pricing my work, and figuring out where a student should start.

I’d really appreciate advice from developers, freelancers, founders, or agencies who have been through this.

I’m also open to working with software/AI agencies, even if the initial opportunity is more about learning and gaining real-world experience. I’d be happy to contribute to projects, take on smaller tasks, and learn how professional development and client work actually happen.

I’m not looking for a shortcut or “get rich quick” strategy. I’m mainly trying to understand how to turn what I already know into real projects, experience, and eventually a sustainable income.

If you’re a developer, agency owner, freelancer, or founder, I’d genuinely appreciate any advice or perspective.

AI Income Idea I'm Looking for a Long-Term AI OFM Partner

Hi! As the title says, I'm looking for a long-term AI OFM partner who knows how to create AI models and can provide content.

You handle the AI model and content creation, while I take care of account management, chatting, and everything related to running the account.

We're a startup team looking for someone who's serious, committed, and willing to grow with us. We're looking for a partner who's in it for the long run and is willing to build something together.

To be upfront, this isn't an instant-paying job. We're looking for a genuine partnership where we build the account together from the ground up and share the earnings once the account starts generating revenue.

If you're interested in building something long-term with us, feel free to DM me. Let's grow together!

Question How to convert DMs to subscriptions?

I just recently started an AI „influencer“ and got some good traction. I consistently get target audience DMs on Tiktok but not on IG. My Tiktok message requests sit at 100+ because I‘m not sure how to efficiently get them to fanvue, since tiktok bans these links, even if they’re not direct via beacons or linktree.
I tried somewhat of a funnel before, where I send them to my Instagram first, chat for 3-5 messages, go silent for a day and finally point towards the link within my story highlight with a „I‘m always active here“ type message. So far I‘ve gained a single fanvue subscription out of some 25 chats.
I want to know if there’s a better way.
Content + Fanvue is automated, I just need to build the bridge between followers and paying customers.
Has anyone faced similar startup struggles and might be willing to share a thing or two? Would come in handy. cheers.

Question Has anyone here actually made money from AI music videos?

I’ve been exploring AI music videos, and I’m curious how people are actually making money from them.

Are you earning from views on YouTube or other platforms, making videos for musicians, or doing something else entirely?

Would love to hear real experiences, even if it’s just a small side income.

Discussion AI Influencer Engagement + Support group

I’ve been trying to find if there are any AI Influencer/Fanvue engagement and collab groups.

I know many OF girls have spoken about these kinds of WhatsApp or telegram groups being instrumental in helping support each other/grow engagement find collabs etc.

Does anyone know if such a thing exists for AI influencers yet?
If not was just wondering if anyone is interested if I was to make one?

Would love to find connections and networks to assist in growing accounts and just support each other.
Would be very strictly no spam or buy my course to learn how I earn $5000 a month allowed of course!!

Discussion How would you survive if AI stole your job? API for your brain

So recently I wrote on reddit asking how AI has screwed people up in their workplaces, and got some interesting stories about how people are actually using AI,sorting it's problems etc

It validated some things I was seeing (I asked around other Subreddits...)and basically ended up with the thought;

If AI is going to change or replace parts of people's jobs, why shouldn't the people with the expertise benefit from that transition?

Think of it as an API to your brain and experience.

I'm building an early-stage project around qualifying AI for real enterprise work, and I'm looking for people with serious experience in:

- IT

- Finance / accounting

- Legal

- Procurement / supply chain

- Insurance

- Operations

- Marketing

- Other specialized fields

I'm calling them Associates.

The basic idea: you know the work, the edge cases and where AI gets things wrong. We want to turn that expertise into something that can create value.

Full disclosure: I'm bootstrapping this and I don't currently have a budget to pay Associates. The intention is for Associates to eventually participate economically (revenue share) in the value their expertise creates.

So I'm curious:

- Would you become an Associate?

- Would you contribute your expertise if there was potential revenue share?

- What would make it worth your time?

- What would stop you from doing it?

- Do you know people who would be interested?

Any and all feedback appreciated, ideas on how to improve the offer, the maths I may be blind to..also feel free to DM me ....

AI Income Idea Starting an AI related business

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well.

Some background: I have a bachelor's degree in economics, not IT or computer science, and I currently run an ecommerce business where I make about $500 a month selling products. I can put in 8 to 10 hours a day toward learning something new.

I want to pick up an AI-related skill that I could get genuinely competent at within about 3 months, use to make real money online in a way that's ethical and legit, and eventually turn into an actual service or small business. I've been looking mainly at two directions: building and selling AI agents for businesses (automation, lead gen, customer support bots), or "vibe coding", using AI coding tools like Cursor or Claude Code to build and ship websites or small apps for clients without a traditional programming background.

Given I'm coming from an economics/ecommerce background with zero coding experience, which of these two would actually be realistic to land paid work from within 3 months, or is there a better-suited path for someone like me? Would rather hear from people who've actually done this than get more theory.

Question Help with Geelark and GoLogin influencer account setup

I’ve been using Geelark and GoLogin recently, using the cloud phones and browser proxy settings. I want to target the US audience despite being based in the UK. I’ve come across some road blocks with account creation and warm up, so I can actually start posting content. The content isn’t the issue, it’s all ready to go with character reference sheets and everything. I just can’t get the account creation process to stick. No matter what it gets flagged and reported/banned. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Maybe it comes down to a proxy issue but you guys let me know. (For reference, I’ve been using IPRoyal as my proxy provider)

Discussion Why Alex Hormozi’s Advice Works For Web Designers

I remember hearing Alex Hormozi say that email is basically the conversion platform of conversion platforms.

His point was that social media, videos and ads are great for getting attention, but email is often where that attention actually turns into money.

He also talked about how email supposedly has one of the highest returns of any marketing channel, with an average return of around $36 for every $1 spent, and that got me thinking.

I run a web design agency, so I decided to actually take email seriously and see what would happen.

But I didn’t want to send the usual stuff.

“Hey, I noticed your website and I can redesign it for you.”

Or

“Hey, we build websites for businesses like yours.”

Everyone gets those emails and most people can tell within two seconds that they were sent to another thousand businesses.

So instead I started using a tool called Swokei that is built specifically for web agencies.

I use it to find businesses in whatever area I want to target, then it actually goes through their websites and looks for things I could mention in the outreach.

Stuff like an outdated design, slow loading speed, poor mobile experience, weak SEO or other things that might be holding the website back.

Then it turns those findings into an actual personalized cold email made to convert.

So instead of emailing someone saying I build websites, I can actually talk about their website and why I think something could be improved.

I’ve been analyzing thousands of websites this way and running multiple campaigns at the same time.

Then I just focus on the people who reply and are actually interested.

Obviously email isn’t some magic button where everyone suddenly wants a new website, but after doing this for a while I definitely understand what Hormozi meant.

For web design especially, email becomes a completely different channel when the message is actually about the business you’re contacting instead of being another copy and paste pitch.

Turns out Alex might have had a point.

Question Fanvue

I’ve heard people complain about bans but from year old post. Is fanvue pretty lenient and cool? Are they a pretty loyal and good with customer service if you have been banned falsely? I’m getting started on there and worried that I may get banned for nothing. I just want to know if I can have trust in this website! Please let me know.

Question Is really AI model on Fanvue a thing?

Firstly, english is not my first language.
I’ve seen a guy promoting he’s course making 10k+ a month(a lot in a poor country like mine) and was wondering if this is actually a thing. I’ve documented a lot about it on reddit, saw that people were making money but also seen a lot of promotions for different “helpful” apps that work with AI on Fanvue on that threads as well.

So, does it actually pay? Is it worth the trouble? 3-4 hours a week for 10k a month?

If so, which AI are you using, I’ve seen wavespeed, nanobanana and comfyUI(which might not work because I don’t have 16GB RAM). Thanks!

Question Looking for startup ideas, that can help to make money with AI?

Hey guys, just looking for ideas that can help to generate some money using AI. These days, I am watching people working on micro-niches, helping specific audiences, some are generating AI videos that help them get promotions for AI video software.

See, I am an SEO person, and I am working full-time in brand, and along with this, I am also working with some US and UK agencies as a partner and handling their clients. I started working with agencies in July 2026, and now I have 7 clients.

Now I want to grow my agency at a fast pace, so how can I use AI to make it work? First, I thought of starting an AI channel where I talk about marketing hacks, strategies, and case studies, but that won't generate money for me any sooner than a year. I know it looks like i am some kind of weird person who already has partnerships and is building an agency, I mean yeah its good to have one running business that can handle the expenses for everything.

So guys, looking for more ideas to try on. can you suggest some ideas.

Question In my 40s -- where do I start in AI field?

I would like to ask for your opinion. If you were in your 40s and would like to foray into AI, mainly for a new career or own business offering such services -- where will you start? My background is in data analysis, but am interested in AI (but not just applied to data), although maybe not toooooo deep into the engineer's expertise. I am so lost with all the information available online, and with the branches sprouting. Any recommendation on where I should start? And any tips about this field? Thank you. Guess I just need a horse's blinders. ;)

Discussion Anyone running AI locally on their own computer for their business?

I run a small contracting business and just bought a $2,500 desktop mostly so I could run AI on it myself.

I still pay for Claude and it does the real work. The local model on the new computer handles first drafts of emails and notes, rewording, small bits of code, and images for marketing posts (it can generate them, cut out backgrounds and upscale photos). Nothing leaves the computer and there's no per use cost.

It's only been running a few days so I can't say it's saved me money yet. The idea is to lean on the paid subscriptions less over time.

Curious if anyone else is doing this and whether it actually cut your bills.

Question Is there actually a market for AI entertainment content?

I’m an AI content creator, mostly making entertainment stuff like short music videos and cinematic/visual clips.

I’m wondering if there’s actually a market for this kind of content right now, especially if you’re trying to make money from creating it for other people.

For anyone already working in this space:

  • What kind of AI content are people actually paying for?
  • Where do you usually find clients?
  • Any tips or things you wish you knew when you started?

Just trying to understand the field better before I put more time into it.
