Question Metroid Queen - no cheese?

Just got to the queen last night. Was pleasantly surprised with the new mechanics for this boss fight compared to the original.
This game, this remake, has been so amazing. Having played the original demos years ago - so awesome now to play the complete, finished game.

Question on the Queen - does anyone know if there is the bomb cheese method with her like in the original Metroid 2?
I tried doing it last night and she had her way with me! 😂

There's one very specific moment when you can lay bombs (or a power bomb) in the Queen's stomach.

Up to that point, you have to fight her conventionally.

Oh for real?
I was wondering….
I kept trying to spider ball into her mouth and also spring ball in. Kept getting knocked back. I went through all the phases of her but didn’t notice when there was an opportunity.

If you want to know when the queen grabs Samus and she's holding the queens mouth open you can morph, go into the queens stomach, and power bomb her.

And its one of the most satisfying boss kills ive had in years. The tension is so high during the fight, and the ending so good.

The way they phrased it is like it's something you can do in any phase. lol no
It's something you can only do at a specific phase, at which you will very much know when.

it's really funny calling bombing her cheese when that became a core part of her fight in other m, am2r, and samus returns

Is it a core part when both Metroid 2 remakes dont make the bombing mandatory?
