I took this screenshot inside the Emperor, in the final loot room. Basically, there are texts near the loot power capsules that say "ADS LOCK." There is also a sign that reads:
"External Power Receptacles: Static Port. Do not plug or deform holes. Indicated area must be smooth and clean." (I'm not entirely sure about that last part.)
Finally, there's a warning sign that says "WARNING: DECKLOCK."
So, basically, could this be Embark confirming that the ARCs are sent by humans who are somewhere in space, or something along those lines?

I originally became intrigued to Arc Raiders before it was a extraction shooter. When it was first shown as a pve game fighting robots together with raiders with waves of arc pushing you. Then the actual game came out and i still loved it but part of me still wishes for that game we was originally shown.
I recently took the time to rewatch the trailer and man…i really wanna understand what they found boring in the game man. This looks like so much fun to play and shoot the shit with friends and other players alike.
Maybe this could be the pve mode we could eventually get? It would have to be like tarkov where its a whole different game basically but i truly feel like this has so much potential and could be the best way to truly enjoy the lore, the set pieces and the bots they create in this world.
Even lore wise it could make sense of a special task force for speranza focused purely on the arc threat and mission based on it and the overall protection of speranza

One of the most interesting developments since the PvE update isn't the mode itself.
It's watching people slowly realize that the PvE vs PvP war was never the actual issue.
The real divide has always been between normal players and brainrot players.
Most PvE players never hated PvP players. They hated griefers. They hated the guy whose entire gameplay loop was making sure everyone else had less fun. The guy who sees a mechanic and immediately asks, "How can I abuse this?" instead of "How can I enjoy this?"
Likewise, most PvP players weren't the issue either. Most people like competition, risk, and player interaction.
The actual problem has always been the same crowd:
Cheaters
Exploit abusers
RMT farmers
Corner campers with the reaction speed of a house plant and the patience of a tax auditor
People whose entire personality can be summarized as "if it's annoying, I'll do it"
And now we're getting a live demonstration of that reality.
The PvE players who simply wanted a more relaxed experience got their mode.
Great.
But did the "problem players" disappear?
Of course not.
They evolved.
Now you have people running around PvE servers vacuuming loot from under everyone's noses because apparently they require a constant supply of negative attention to survive.
The same players who spent months insisting they loved "player interaction" suddenly discovered that ruining someone's farming route works just as well as ruining their raid.
Who could have predicted this completely unforeseeable outcome?
Then we have the Stella Crow situation.
An amazing number of players suddenly camping Pendola because augmented weapons are apparently the hottest commodity around.
Not because they desperately need them for gameplay.
Not because they're chasing some incredible build.
But because every multiplayer game eventually attracts the same species of player that views the game as a resource extraction operation for RMT.
Again, notice the pattern.
The issue isn't PvP.
The issue isn't PvE.
The issue is the people.
The same people.
Every time.
And while all of this is happening, we're already seeing something else that should concern everyone regardless of which queue they prefer.
The update isn't even that old.
We're only a few days in.
It's a weekend.
And PvPvE is already seeing a very obvious increase in suspicious players, cheaters, wallhack-level awareness, impossible tracking, and all the usual nonsense that magically appears whenever high value loot starts moving around.
Normally you'd expect that to be one of the highest priority issues after a major update.
Instead, the conversation keeps getting dragged back into PvE vs PvP tribalism while the actual health of the game takes hits in real time.
The frustrating part is that every day these problems sit unchecked, normal players get pushed out while the people nobody wants around become a larger percentage of the active population.
That's a recipe that has killed more multiplayer games than balance issues ever have.
And to add a little extra salt to the wound, we're already seeing what looks like preferential treatment for certain voices in the community.
If you have a massive following, your complaints seem to travel at light speed.
If you're AverageJoe472 with 200 hours played and a genuine concern, good luck getting anyone to notice.
That isn't healthy either.
If there are teams available to take care of specific community figures and their concerns, then there should be enough resources dedicated to taking care of the thousands of average players who make up the actual backbone of the game.
Because streamers and influencers are part of the community.
They are not the community.
At the end of the day, the last few days have reinforced something I've believed for a long time:
PvE players are not the enemy.
PvP players are not the enemy.
Most people on both sides just want to log in and enjoy the game.
The real problem has always been the same small collection of cheaters, griefers, exploiters, RMT goblins, and terminal brainrot individuals who migrate toward whatever activity lets them extract the most value while contributing the least.
Hopefully this entire situation helps more people open their eyes.
Because if both normal PvE players and normal PvP players stop blaming each other and start recognizing the actual issue, the community might finally be able to have the conversation that matters.

If you’ve brought your own key to complete the emperor, you know where my frustration is coming from…
My last raid I made it through the whole dungeon solo. As I was taking care of the smaller arc, at least 5 players hop in and loot everything just leaving scraps.
“Just kill them” don’t want to risk what I already have 🫤 plus I’m outnumbered.

60 hour noob here so this is just my outsider opinion, can embark keep pve some way im not trying to enforce or anything like that, but it feels like i should just pull the trigger on anyone i encounter in normal pvp lobbies cuz im either gonna get shot in the back by the random i encountered or get camped by someone camping around corner in 3rd person, i understand that its part of the game but it happens so godamn often its not even an extraction shooter but a poor mans br with extraction shooter mechanics, i just want to cooperate a little, basic resource raids, kill big arcs and do quests doing all while bringing my best gear without risk of stuff i mentioned earlier, overall my pve experience was so fun since i could bring my best gear without any worries and complete stuff how ever i wanted and if they had to compensate with actual worse loot and tougher arcs i would absolutely take it

You can sync your account so it matches your in game too.
They need to expand on Outposts as soon as they can imo. They gotta let us place any object anywhere though, these placement options are hella limiting.

I know there are a lot of players that felt that the PvP element of the game ruined their ability to enjoy it and I understand where they are coming from. Some of these players left the game early on and were excited to play try the PvE Toggle Beta. Unfortunately, there is a group in the player base who disagree with this addition and decided to use it's trial period to grief, exploit and ruin it in anyway they could find. The accessibility of the PvE toggle made this very easy. If you're a player who engaged in this, know that putting energy into forcing other players recreation time into negative experiences is incredibly despicable.
For the players that left the game before Aggression Based Match Making (ABMM) was implemented, I want to highlight how well this works and why. ABMM places players into matches with other players who have a similar play style. This means that players that want to PvP will be with other players who want to PvP and players that just want to loot around and shoot robots with other players will be in Friendly lobbies where they can do that.
I've spent a lot of time in Friendly lobbies and I can say I haven't seen ANY of the griefing and toxic behavior there that I've seen in the PvE Mode recently. I think the ABMM created a better experience for players that just want to PvE and here's why:
I think it's possible that in the long term the majority of the griefers will realize that a PvE mode doesn't really impact them and they'll go back to their normal matchmaking, but these problems will continue, even if less frequent unless Embark makes notable changes just for the PvE mode.
When this PvE Toggle Beta Test ends, I encourage the PvE players to try the ABMM while Embark looks at the issues. Take a free kit for a while, don't shoot anyone unless you've been shot first. It won't take too long and when you get to the Friendly lobbies I think you'll find the experience you've been looking for was there all along.

Embarrassing. I don’t know what’s been going on lately but I’ve been getting absolutely spanked by the arc, I’ve lost 2 hullcrackers and a Jupiter this weekend.

So here’s a bit of context. I was doing a naked run on dam battlegrounds in PvPvE and decided to go to the very top of the control tower. I got on the ladder and then jumped on the ledge which anyone can do. Now there’s a fellow raider in the key room and says the loot both inside the room and on the ledge is his, I dispute this cause anyone can access the ledge if they wanted to. He proceeds to open the door to the edge and try to bull rush me and falls off lol. He could’ve had all that loot but he got greedy and lost it all because he was to worried about what I might find.

It’s funny to see how quickly the cooperation on the Frigate fell apart. For the past 4 days, I’ve been trying to clear the Frigate, run after run. Enhanced Equalizer, Hullcracker, plenty of ammo and meds. The furthest I’ve made it is the second-to-last room, where I blow up the core.
I have enough ammo and healing items to handle everything on my own, but I just don’t have enough time. Ten people on board at the start, only two left by the end. Quest still unfinished. What happened?
I recently went to the Queen, and the whole team was running Equalizers.

Following the update, every player must destroy 5 ARC Turbines to complete new research. Most of the playerbase avoids this enemy because they don't understand the fundamental principles of how it works.
It's a two-level problem: firstly, the ARC Turbine is a truly unique and counterintuitive enemy - people don’t want to wait 15 minutes to test a strategy against a boss that can kill you in two hits and is capable of reaching you even inside a building.
Secondly, with the release of the "Riven Tides" update, just an hour after it went live, clickbait YouTubers opened Pandora’s box and unleashed a plague upon the Rust Belt known as the "Jupiter+Barricade" strategy. To put it briefly: trying to destroy the ARC Turbine using the Jupiter is about as efficient a use of your time as attempting to kill the Surveyor from 100 meters away with a Stitcher — simply because you’re deathly afraid of its charge attack. The situation reached such an appalling scale that, before the release of the Frozen Trail update, the developers explicitly stated during a livestream that players should not attack the Turbine while it is in the air — they must wait until it has landed on the ground.

Check out the guide previously posted on this subreddit, become a Turbine Hunter capable of effortlessly destroying two Turbines in a single match — and living to tell the tale.
Happy hunting! o7
