Verse 22-25 describes David acting as an Arbiter between two people. After settling the dispute, He realized he was tested and sought forgiveness. Are there any late antique tradition regarding this incident and why he asked for forgiveness?
In Verse 34-35, Solomon is also tested with a body on his throne and he asks for forgiveness. What exactly was this test?
